Doing that 2 years in a row at a place like that in the way they are doing it (beating the every living shat out of everyone) is............I mean I don't even know what compares to it. I don't care if their schedule is a bit on the weaker side, they are Indiana.

Just crazy impressive. Very interested to see how they compete with Ohio State in their championship game. They seem like a better, more complete this year than last.

The combo of a good coach and a very weak schedule gets results. Let’s see how the CCG and playoffs treat them.

I wish my dad and his sisters from Kokomo were still alive today to see this. If I could go back in time and describe these last two seasons of Indiana football to them they would either laugh me out of the room or have me committed. It's pretty wild considering their history

If any of these SEC schools who just fired their coaches were serious about winning, they'd pony up the money and hire him tonight.

The big ten is way down so that’s most of what you’re seeing. I think they’re good, but don’t lose your cookies. Even northwestern seems good in that conference.

Penn state sucks
Michigan sucks
Wisconsin is terrible
Michigan state is horrible
Ohio state is good, but how good? They beat Texas a middle of the SEC team barely and most Texas fans would say they should have won, although most SEC fans say Texas sucks.

Indiana will lost two games before this year is up and their QB will be gone, and they’ll be a dumpster fire with a 100m dollar coach

I enjoy watching them play but they'd be above average at best if they were in the SEC and played a normal SEC schedule.

This settles it. Kick out Texas and take OSU

If there is one thing I've learned about college football it's that the next 4 weeks are going to change the majority of peoples opinions on all these teams.

College football schedules are almost always back loaded so the biggest games have yet to be played.

Indiana has zero 5 stars and seven 4 stars on roster. #72 team talent ranking

Indiana’s team this year has early 90s Florida/Spurrier vibes, foot never comes off the gas. Hard to believe.

3 years ago I saw Cignetti bring James Madison into Lane Stadium and just beat Va Tech like a yard dog. I said then and I still say the AD at Va. Tech was and is a dumb arse for not dumping the guy they just dumped and do what ever it took to hire Cignetti. Too late now, because he'll get better offers than Va Tech from now on.

Bobby Knight did it in 1975. How old are you?

The Beach Boys predicted this success. They just didn't get there fast, but maybe they will take it slow.

to the Hoosiers. Very solid football team all around. Honestly thought they should have been #1 in the first poll. They just keep dominating every opponent.

Here's the reality: NIL and the portal have changed everything. The teams that were bending or breaking the rules before all that because they could get the best players no longer have an advantage. Although I don't like the fact that a player can transfer without sitting out anymore, it's a fact of life. The X factor will continue to be a great coach, however.

Give some credit where credit is due. Name an SEC team that woud've administered this many complete shite kickings with the same schedule while also beating Oregon on the road.

We aren't getting Cignetti anywhere else unless someone spends just obscene levels of cash. He's in his mid 60s, he's got a very comfy cushion right now, and even if he doesn't win a Natty if he keeps this up they'll build statues of him.

Right now he's building generational wealth for his family at a school with deep pockets that has suddenly decided they want to splash the cash on his sport.
