Who are SEC schools to watch for those of us don't know the field of competing schools? Tia

The LSU ladies have a shot, if everything falls in place. Should win some individual/relay titles for sure.

UGa is not screwing around in sports anymore. Foley taught their new J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics, Greg McGarity, too well.

After a long down spell LSU seems to be trending up again in women's track & field. LSU is the gold standard of excellence for women's track. Arkansas is having a real down year for both our men and women's teams.

Our traditional model of winning just doesn’t work anymore. Also our jumps coach is Special needs.
Just need to be more balanced. Pound for pound this year’s LSU team is the fastest team in NCAA history but likely won’t win it with zero points in fields and jumps

As I recall Arkansas was mostly anchored by our long distance runners along with some excellent sprinters over the years but we fielded solid jumpers during the 90s. You need to have a balanced team to win an NCAA title now a days.
Its why Oregon is so hard to recruit against. Nike pours millions and millions into the program and the top track and field athletes are looking for that Nike sponsorship once they leave the college ranks. Which means they can recruit just about any track and field discipline.

LSU’s women’s 4x100 relay team is just absurdly good.

LSU girls have a rich tradition in jumps, men too actually. Lots of Olympians on both sides
Hence me shitting on our jumps coach. He’s just awful.

Georgia, Florida, LSU go 1-2-3 in Mens Hammer Throw (LSU player was a freshman).

And they're off... Georgia wins the Hammer.
