How many teams did your home state put in the tournament? Which states have the most?
Alabama
Alabama
Auburn
Alabama State
Troy
Jacksonville State
I would assume Texas, California and Florida each have a bunch.

Oklahoma State and OU will make the tournament every year regardless of seed.
No ORU this year, shame.
On another note, RIP Rice.
Growing up in Houston they were a powerhouse. What happened? Thought they’d end up like a TCU. TCU is still a tiny school, how did Rice get the shaft?

It looks like Alabama, Texas, and California have the most teams with 5 each.

SC having three without Clemson of USC is wild.

LSU
Vanderbilt
Clemson
South Carolina
Dallas Baptist
Texas Tech
TCU
Stanford
Arizona
I’m sure I’m missing some other big names.. but that’s a lot of teams that are normally a high seed.

how did Rice get the shaft?
David Pierce is the current coach.. and they were 35-24 this year, so maybe they turn the corner soon

Mid week games against USM would be a pain in the arse, always thought ORU and DBU were tough but sheesh

We went 1-1 against them this year.
We shut them out twice in the Hattiesburg Super Regional in 2022 on our way to a national championship though. That is personally one of the most satisfying moments of Ole Miss baseball history for me.
Especially after hearing about how amazing their pitching staff was (literally people were saying it was probably the best in the nation) and them saying Pete Taylor Park is one of the toughest parks to play in the nation.

Yes, they are. Alabama had 6 midweek games against 4 tourney teams: Southern Miss, Alabama State, Jacksonville State (twice), and Troy (twice).

Same lol. Alabama State, Cincy (once and they run ruled us), GT (split), JSU (twice and swept us).

No football program that I'd previously never heard of does a better job of getting their football games on television early in the season!
