And LSU played Bama for one, so there was a chance for both to be tied with 4.

Yea it should be tied at 4 if not for all of Sabans crying like a little girl to the media to get votes and for one of the best fg kickers in the nation missing a 30+ yard fg it would be. Especially since Okie st had the better resume that year.

Did football exist before 2000?

Then you’d probably lose to them too

We both know that’s not really true. I knew LSU and Bama had the two best teams that year. Beating you twice in one season with a subpar QB was a very tall order — that Bama defense was nasty...

Of course not. Justin Blackmon was Oklahoma States stud and he would have been LSUs 3rd best receiver

I agree they were but Bama should not have been allowed to play in that game. All their fans know deep down they didn’t deserve to be in it. I saw the stat before the game and it’s like almost 80% of ranked teams or top 5 teams that play again, the losing team wins the rematch. LSU and Okie St got royally fuked that year.

Saban deserves credit for bringing lsu to life after the dismal 90's.

So anything relevant there should be a thank you to him.

A statue should be built.

What about Sabans coaching career before LSU? Should he be thanking LSU for getting him to a place where he was handed essentially a blank check (for resources) by Mark Emmert and a recruiting hotbed like almost no other state?

Auburn should have 3 also. Damn you BCS for 2004. And damn you Gus for blowing your first of many huge leads.

Saban brought lsu back from the dead.

Can't you just appreciate that?

So you think losing to a 35 point underdog is better than losing to the #1 team in America?
