A known slime ball coach marrying a staffer 20 years younger definitely is a story. Especially when the coaches ex wife is a cancer survivor

It's super weird for a head coach to date, let alone, marry a staffer. I'm sure there is something under law, NCAA rules, and university policy against this.
Ick.
ETA: If Lane Kiffin married a staffer, we would be talking about it for the next 50 years.

Wasn't his wife in remission before he even took the Alabama job? This staffer didn't follow him from Buffalo, so...
Yes, his wife’s cancer battle occurred when he was coaching at Buffalo.
It is funny that the same people who tried to troll Alabama because Oats was married to an overweight dogface are the same ones who are trying to troll Alabama because he divorced her.
Here is the timeline.
2015: Nate Oats named Buffalo head coach. That same year his wife Crystal was diagnosed with cancer. Alex Accetta takes job at Alabama as graduate assistant.
2016: Crystal Oats is declared in remission and cancer free.
2017: Alex Accetta promoted to operations manager at Alabama.
2019: Nate Oats named Alabama head coach.
2022: Alex Accetta resigns from Alabama to take a position with the Dallas Mavericks.
2023: Nate Oats and Crystal Oats divorce.
2026: April - Nate Oats announces he and Alex Accetta are engaged. July - Nate Oats and Alex Accetta marry.

Less likely to divorce him and cash out.

Of course the subhuman trash is completely glossing over this as they rush in to defend Oats

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to congratulate Nate Oats on anything.

3 years?
Apparently tRant thinks someone has to wait longer than that after a divorce before they remarry.

Your response did not address divorce and remarriage. Jesus Christ had an explicit teaching on this- remember Him?

if this was Bobby Petrino, the national media would be burning him in effigy

He’s won a bunch of games and took them to the final four.
If he was an every other year NCAA bid with a once every 4 years to sweet 16, this would be used against him.
If he had multiple final 4s and a nattie, it would be ignored and perhaps praised.
