That 2004 Auburn team was a good one... Best team by far that year and would have won the national championship..

My favorite was 2011 Bama... After the tornado, Tuscaloosa was COMPLETELY devastated... Looked like something from an apocalyptic film... That championship was a big boost and really gelled the community...

No way. No Cam = 8-4. 2004 team was stacked top to bottom.

yea, but like we have always said, we did have Cam and Nick and that team was unbeatable.

it accomplished more against tougher competition

Football: 2008

Basketball: 2007. 2014 had a better record, and was full of senior experience, but 07 was full of NBA talent.

Baseball: 2017

that actually have a better reason/standing for that title
Lol what? Who has a better reasoning or standing than ‘19 LSU.

‘19 LSU would be favorited over any team that’s ever played college football. Sorry that this hurts your feelings.

Tennessee

Football
1998 was the best in modern era (13-0, NC)
1938 would be second (even though they finished 2nd in polling...didn't lose a game from November 1937 until January 1940...23 straight wins. The '39 team won NC(last FBS program to complete a regular season undefeated) , but that was when polls were prior to bowl.

Basketball

2010 - 28-9 with 1 point loss in elite eight.

Baseball

1951 - CWS runner-up, finished the year 20-3.

I went with the most accomplished teams, because the hardware means something.

Football - 1960 team that was ranked #1 going into final game of season when they were beaten by a cheating kansas (I know that's redundant) team. They then went on to beat Navy in the Orange Bowl and would have been national champs if the voting had been done after bowl games back then

Basketball - 93/94 team that went 14-0 in the Big 8 and made it to elite 8.

Baseball - 1954 team that won national championship.

Is 1941 your best? I'm trying to help you, here.

I keep getting accused of being Lil'WillyT, because some of y'all are fricking idiots. But this guy? A strong maybe. Though never underestimate the effect of living downstream of thousands of petro chemical plants and half the country's feces.

That said, there's no big 3. Almost nobody gives a frick about college baseball.

I really would have liked to have seen a 1996 championship game rematch between UK and State, after State beat UK in the SEC Tournament finals. Unfortunately, State just played weird against Syracuse in the semis (some think our PG threw the game).

Ole Miss

Football
1959 10-1. SP+ second best team of all time. Upset by defending champ LSU on Halloween night. Avenged that loss by murdering LSU in the Sugar Bowl a few months later.

Basketball
For me it’s the 97-98 squad that was upset by Valpo. 1 seed Kansas lost a second round game and Rebs were set up for an elite 8 run.

Baseball
2005 team. Would be upset by eventual national champ Texas in the Super regional after three very well played games. Rebs just couldn’t get the key hits after game one.

That’s why OM fans are always bitter and skeptical.

You might notice very few other teams, that actually have a better reason/standing for that title, do not continuously throw it up.

Many people, who watch college football for a living, do not agree with you

Who are you trying to convince, yourself?

You’re doing a fine job of trying to convince yourself that LSU wasn’t. Almost as if every time it’s brought up, you are riiiiiight there to vehemently deny it.

Basically you’re calling yourself out.

You boys aren’t smart enough to get out of your own way.

LSU beat Alabama by 5 and Auburn by 3......

So no, LSU would not be favored over any team, not even close. Just for example, the 95 Nebraska team would stop the pancreas out of LSU.

These Huskers finished with an average score of 53-15

My father played on the 59-61 ole miss teams (freshman in 1958) and he swears the 2015 team was the best we ever had.

NFL talent wise that’s probably true. I’d take your fathers team. No bad losses and statistically one of the most dominant teams ever.

Unlike you, I do not live on this site. However, when I see somebody being stupid or making a stupid statement, I will try and help them by correcting them. LSU 2019 was a good team, but not the greatest team.

Good teams can win by single digits once in a season, but anymore shows that they are not a great team but a very good team.

Now I am sure you listen to the propaganda that is prevalent in La, but the rest of the country knows the truth.

Laughing at YOU

May want to apply that to yourself then.

Convincing yourself that a big12 team in the 90s played a schedule like ANY sec team in 2019 is hilarious.
