When my coach grabbed me by the face mask and talked to me like a dog I listened and did what he told me. He was right. I saw this same coach tell a player that was much better than me to not let the door hit his arse on the way out because he thought he was above coaching.

Saban is one of the last old school coaches and I respect that.

I think some of you missing the point here. Harris and Saban didn’t always see eye to eye, but Najee stuck it out and became a successful player in the end.

The point is that Harris and Saban have a decent relationship (as evidenced by the quotes above) despite those differences.

Pretty much.

None of this is a surprise to Bama fans. Najee was just a guy that needed his hand held and told how great he was. But he was just another 5-star in Tuscaloosa.
To his credit, he stuck it out and followed the Saban blueprint and became a millionaire.

He's definitely sensitive. You can see it in the doc. He's a guy that definitely reads messageboards that wants you to think he doesn't.

Harris says they were able to clear the air for good during that 1-on-1 sesh, and "ever since that day, we was rock solid."

Can't imagine why you didn't lead with this part.

He doesn't particularly care for fans. He appreciates their support but he seems pretty ambivalent towards them.

Missed this the first time, but that's hardly unique. Shaun Alexander hated the fans and not without reason. They stole shite from his locker.

ETA - It was a 3rd party story I read years ago. He was not pleased at the time though.

He was admittedly homesick and left to go (fly) back home every weekend

Sounds expensive…how did he afford that? Najee is from San Francisco. Cross-country flights every weekend?

People today will take any form of criticism and turn it into them being disrespected.

We don't have many running backs at BAMA in his talent range that came back for their senior year, but Najee certainly did. It actually surprised me at the time, along with DeVonta Smith.

Most people try to leave life struggles a private matter. Najee Harris is not one of those guys.

I read the article and Harris never said a majority of the time, all the time, or all 4 years. That was you and the writer or editor. Harris might have said it in the interview but none of that in the text is attributed to him. You do know what quotation marks indicate. Right?

Still just a troll.
