This is how I rank the SEC at the beginning of this season.

Based on my expert analysis and insight, I believe I have an accurate ranking of the conference, don'tcha'think? :) There's a lot of facetiousness in my remark, ok?!

1.....Alabama
2.....Georgia
3.....Texas A&M
4.....Arkansas
5.....LSU
6.....Kentucky
7.....Tennessee
8.....Ole Miss
9.....Mississippi State (a dangerous darkhorse)
10....Florida
11....South Carolina
12....Auburn
13....Missouri
14....Vanderbilt

Stay tuned each week for JetDawg's PowerPetrol Rankings!

SC beat Florida 40-17 last year with a FCS transfer as our QB yet Florida is supposed to be better than us with a 1st year head coach?

Yes, the 2 main antagonists are gone. Back to normal for you and yours.

6-6 vs Florida in the last 12 games. Not like ya'll have been dominant even without the 2 main antagonists. Florida won't be better this year.

The world is right. You think A&M being third in the west is nuts because you're the homer. The season will prove as much. A&M is going to be very good.

The hardest stretch in our season comes early. Miami, Arkansas, State, Alabama. If we go 3-1 through those 4 games, we'll be 10-2 at worst, and fairly strong favorites in every remaining game.

Swap Arkansas and Texas A&M and the list looks about right.

If LSU is better than Kentucky then I don't want a single UGA fan telling us how hard their schedule was.

Not bad. LSU is too high, IMO. I'd have them around 9th. Lots of question marks there.

A&M can justify 3rd if they find a reliable QB. If not, then maybe no higher than 6th.

Agree that State is a wildcard. I'm not sure I'm ready to say "breakout season," but they'll be somebody's spoiler.

If I'm going darkhorse, I'm going Tennessee. Very favorable schedule.

I really debated within my mind about this....came very close to putting SCar in the #10 spot ahead of UF....but, I just know better than to be tooooooo dismissive of the Scaly Yellow-bellied Reptile Crawlers, so I put them just ahead of y'all.

The team who finished 25th last year with a backup QB got a big influx of talent, returned significant pieces, and has a healthy starting QB.

Yeah, why would anyone expect this team to be decent?

No one is scared of a starting QB who nearly threw 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions against the mighty power house Kent State
