Secondary should actually be the strength of the d, but a big part of that will be how disciplined Floyd Raven can be back there at safety, Everett is a very good corner and Hurd is a 5th year senior returning at nickel as well, our linebackers are my biggest area of concern, because Donnie Baggs and Tommy Sanders are starters who played against Rice and both played poorly

Read what I said.
When we are on offense, and they are on defense, there is likely going to be more NFL prospects on the field at the same time than any other point in the season.
And do I think we have more NFL talent on offense than LSU? Of course. On defense? No.

The LBs did play poorly, but A LOT of that had to do with our DL.

I had this penciled in as a blowout, but not anymore. 31-28 Bama.
Even though the A&M fans are nutsack gobblers, they do have a point with the starters being out. Any other SEC team would bring that up if they were in the same shoes. But still, it's Rice. I could see Yeldon going off.
And on the other side, Alabama could only muster up 206 yards against a depleted VT team. I see a lot of the Bama fans talking up Virginia Tech's defense as maybe one of the best, or THE best, defense they'll face all year but like I said earlier, not one mention of such before their game. Virginia Tech seemed to only get their kudos after Alabama realized they couldn't put on the offensive clinic they thought they were. And that was with all of their starters in.

I resent this statement.
We do not "gobble" nutsacks. Rather, we observe all cogent rules of table etiquette when dining upon that particular delicacy? I'll not stand idly by whilst you impugn our decorum, good sir

I doubt you'll see many sane Bama fans predicting a blowout now. Many of us are pretty worried about this game. I still think we win, but my confidence has definitely taken a blow.

Last year was EASILY Bama's worst D since 07
Strange, since statistically it was your second best defense in Saban's tenure. #1 in scoring defense, #1 in total defense, #1 in rushing defense, #5 in passing defense, #2 in YPP.
Your scoring defense, total defense, rushing defense and YPP were second only to 2011.

Our ineptitudes on defense last year were masked by one of our best offensive years in history. A good offense can make your defense seem a lot better: see any Patriots team in the last few years.

To me it's very hard to compare our defenses over the years.
They're just so damn strong every year.

What I'm hoping for: Alabama buckles down on offense and figures out how to block. Better play calling leads to A&M being abused all night. Defense does enough to keep the Aggies under 30 and Alabama wins a 31-24 ball game.
What will probably happen: Alabama improves a little on O but isn't consistent. The game is a toss up with the Aggies winning 24-17.
I really have no clue

This D is faster & the 1 issue I was really worried about (secondary) was stout so far...o9f course the test will be in 2 weeks because VT with Logan Thomas is def not aTm's O with Mike Evans & Manziel, but our DL looks like it will wreck shite, Ed Stinson & Hubbard are both gonna have huge years
