He didn’t “own” the Aggies at all. Stupid play calling and coaching on Kleins part had the most to with it. 3rd and shirt…Aggies with the ball and momentum, Klein calls the worst play possible for Marcel Reed…medium long pass to the sideline.

UGA quietly attributes much of their defensive success to his role when he was as an analyst

Then why did Georgia fire him from the analyst role?

We didn't. Not sure where you got that idea. He came to UGA in 2021 as an analyst and one of our coaches got sick so Muschamp stepped in and coached special teams on UGA's 2021 national title team.

He then moved to DC for 2022 (another NC) and 2023, then moved back to an analyst job. We'd love to keep him there but he decided he wanted to get back on the field.

We wish him the best of luck. Great coach.

Well, I want him fired so I’m not the best person to debate this with you.

The rant is where people just make up shite to fit a narrative. I wouldn’t worry too much about an idiotic comment like that.

I don’t think he was fired. I am guessing there is something behind the scenes as far as PK wants to go back home (west), wants a HC job, or something else. He was a strength of our team and staff

Honestly, I wish we had Muschamp again instead of Schuman.

You guys have really hung your hat in this one. CFP participation trophies are pretty awesome though.

Sark has had enough of dropping elite pass rushers like Ant Hill and Colin Simmons into coverage on 3rd down. Enough of the bend but don’t break. Enough soft coverages in the secondary. Texas didn’t create nearly enough pressure and turnovers this year with talent they had in the front seven. PK is a very good defensive coordinator but Sark wanted a different style. He tried to hire Muschamp when he took the Texas job. Clearly the opportunity finally presented itself and he told PK to head west.

Interested to see what moves/changes Sark makes on offense. I would imagine they are coming as well.

PK owned A&M with the same concepts he ran last year. Contain rushes, light boxes, and two high shells. I can appreciate aggressive DCs like Muschamp, but they can be exploited because their defensive rules are so defined. Similar to Elko, all those gaudy TFL and Sack numbers, but still too rigid. Sark feasts on DCs like that.

Well, those Alumni are fricking stupid. Because the most significant problems are on the other side of the ball.

SC and AU have a way of making great coaches look shitty. As another example see current Broyles award finalist mike bobo.

Bobo was fine as OC for the one year in SC. He produced a 1000 yard rusher.

But he wasn't much of anything at Auburn, either.

Muschamp is an arse, but his defenses at SC were never any good, really. He had NFL talent that he largely squandered - guys that are very successful in the League. Clayton White has been a much better coordinator than Muschamp/Robinson.

I don't hate Muschamp. Never should have been hired, but I don't hate him. I just think he's overrated.
