*At least, as much as I can be "scared" or "concerned" now that Evil Gus Destroyotron 3000 has returned to the Auburn sidelines to replace the broken second edition model that bugged out and didn't know what a quarterback was.

and lol @ MSU fans over here thinking they can get a better coach, or that he's going to do the same/worse at UF than at MooU

Good hire, Gators. Should've happened three years ago.

Pretty much all of those loses are to Auburn, LSU, and Saban. Not shocking a coach can't beat the big dawgs at the second worst program in the SEC. Ole Miss cheated to stay with Mullen, and Aggies were pretty strong as well.

Pretty tough division for an awful program. Getting to a BCS bowl at Miss State is like winning a title at a Big Six..it's that impressive.

Without breaking a sweat Mullen almost put together a Top 10 recruiting class at State.

A lot more competition at Florida.
He might give 5 because of loyalty but he will not please the masses in Gainesville.

Him bringing over Grantham is a mistake. Once he realizes he’s now at Florida and can hire any assistant he wants, they’ll be a very consistently good team.

I agree. He can damn sure develop QB's. He will need a few years to recruit O talent. They are horrible on that side of the ball.....but dude knows O. UF could not have gotten a better coach for their program, IMO.

Mullen will have Florida turned around by next year.

Best hire of the year, imo.

I read some fans complaining his games would be boring. They are nuts. Winning will end the discomfort of boring wins.

He may do well. I wish him luck (except when he plays or recruits against LSU of course).

But for some reason, I keep thinking of LSU's hire of Curly Hallman. Both did well at "not traditional powers" Mississippi Schools. Both had talented QB's at those schools.

Of course, Mullen's done it for a lot longer than Hallman did and with more than one QB, and there are other differences.

But I'm always leery of a coach making a leap to a big school. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

I'm not sure about Grantham either. I do like the other two assistants.

Billy is a freaking stud recruiter. Guy got insane receiver talent here at UF back in the days. So I know that's a home run.

Really hope he keeps Seider.

This would be an ideal time for Saban to retire.

Mullen is a great hire for UF but Billy Gonzales and John Hevesy are the worst recruiters I’ve ever seen. Literally ask any state fan their opinion for those two guys and they will tell you the same thing, that they are dreadful at recruiting. Good thing is that Florida recruits itself so it may be able to mask those deficiencies

Better? Probably not. About equal to Mullen? I think so - we have a sharp AD.

It shouldn’t scare you at all... he comes in with a great game plan. Stop that game plan and he will shite the bed. The worst coach I have ever seen at in game adjustments. Hard headed too.. he will pound that QB draw on 3rd and 23. He will win some miracle games, but lose to South Alabama in the same season.

No one here is mentioning Richt at Miami shutting down the Miami talent and the Recruiting advantage Jimbo Fisher has had on Florida since around 2010-2011.

When Meyer, Urban Meyer, went to Florida Bobby Bowden was on the decline and Miami had already blew up under Larry Coker.

Dan Mullen is inheriting a Florida team in a different situation. A team with Miami on the rise and with FSU pulling in top classes every year.

Huge difference.
