This Florida fans. You nailed it. If his game plan works, you'll win and usually pretty handily. If it doesn't, Mullen will go out of his way to NOT make any adjustments..believing until the bitter end that his game plan was and is still correct.

Mullen will last 3 years max at Florida
His system takes a while to learn offensively
It will take a while to get his players in.
Fan base will not have the patience to wait on success so he will not last there long enough to turn the corner.

His offensive gameplan literally created the best offense in the SEC for four years during his time here...I think we will be fine with his offensive game plans. Defensive who knows...but if you need a reminder of his offense at UF..It's like people don't realize we had him as an OC for four years and he was insanely good at it...

agree. He can damn sure develop QB's. He will need a few years to recruit O talent. They are horrible on that side of the ball.....but dude knows O. UF could not have gotten a better coach for their program, IMO.
This. Fisher at TAMU and Mullen at UF could finally shake up the league. I like it.

2-15 Dude
2 and 15 vs ranked op
You will get to finally see some points being scored but he can't win a big game
By the way his 2 wins vs ranked teams I believe were against Aubrun and LSU early in the year when Dak caught everyone by surprise and those 2 teams were awful that year. He later went on to beat a bad T am team as well.
Plus a lot in Starkville said he was dick
Should be entertaining with the OBC right down the hall
Have fun

We actually have decent offensive talent.
Mac did one thing well. Recruited good skill players. His dumb arse just didn't know how to keep them healthy and use them. Davis, Toney, Massey, Lemons are all guys Dan should be able to use.
Biggest issues are actually on defense. LBer and Safety is a wreck. DT is very lack luster. Offense we need a QB to fit his system, and offensive line talent. Will need a year to get things rolling. It's def not a five year rebuild here. Neither is Tenn or Arkansas. All programs in the SEC looking for coaches should be able to get things rolling in 2-3 years max.

Example: In the 2014 Egg Bowl Mullen had Dak run it 24 times for 48 yards. Anyone could see the safeties were cheating up to stop the QB keeper. IIRC Mullen exploited that vulnerability with the long post only once, then went back to Dak for 2 yards.
Enjoy, Gators!

It doesn’t seem like you have any idea of what you speak. I’m going to say the problem at UF, is you can’t keep starters out of jail.

It's a better hire than McElwain, but he better surround himself with some recruiters. I didn't realize he was only 45 so hopefully he hasn't hit his ceiling yet, because State fans are right he is as hard headed as they come. I have no idea if he works out long term but I think he will fix our QB situation, I'm pretty pumped about that.

That in a nutshell. That's why we wanted to keep him. We felt confident every year in QB play.
That's hard to come by in this league and that's the most important.

You know, time will tell if the Gators were right about us hiring Muschamp
But damn it's nice hearing the Gator fans get the "we're warning you" treatment for a change.

Hard headed too.. he will pound that QB draw on 3rd and 23. He will win some miracle games, but lose to South Alabama in the same season.
Sounds like Saban and the Tide this past Saturday. Except for one drive the run game was shut down. AU knew going in that Hurts' progression was Ridley, run, every pass play. Took Ridley completely out of the game and did a good job of contain on Hurts running. Saban didn't know what the frick to do and jsut looked thoroughly confused the entire game.

What do I not know? That his offense from 2005-2008 was the most successful in the SEC?
You know that is true right? Do you need proof?
Or am I wrong we have decent talent? Only two starters went to court, neither went to jail. So I would brush up then get back to me hombre.

Actually completely the opposite.
Muschamp couldn't succeed at a better school, so went to you. He wasn't good enough for UF, so thinking he'd be more successful at a smaller program seemed unlikely.
Miss State is the second worst program in the SEC historically. Florida is on of the best jobs in the country, depending on who you ask. So assuming he has MORE success, is fair.
So it's actually the opposite of Muschamp. One failed at the big job, went to the small job. One did well at the small job, moved to the big job.

He will be rolling in 2-3 IMO. Should be interesting!

im not referring to the validity of the claims or the situations behind them
All I said was that you're hearing the warnings and the red flags. It doesn't mean much because I think Mullen will do decent there, but it's funny to me nonetheless.
