We are in dark times. We just don’t have the alumni with deep pockets that care enough to pull the talent needed to compete in this league

NIL will destroy us as long as we remain in the SEC. Might need to move to big 12 at this point

You shouldn’t have had faith in Captain Neckbeard to begin with.

There is a path, look at what IU and Vandy did.

They basically imported the core of an entire smaller tier team and became instantly competitive.

Neither have major NIL budgets.

But no you will never be able to compete head to head with top 15 teams for recruits. If that’s your approach it would be better to drop down a level when the next B10-SEC restructuring occurs so you can compete with teams with a similar resource profile.

I said both times when MSU athletics announced multimillion dollar donations that your program is being run by complete retards. Take that money and start an NIL collective with it.

Honestly wouldn’t be a bad move based on the new playoff format. You’re never gonna win shite in the SEC. And it’s delusional to think otherwise.

I never thought I’d say this but Congress needs to step in and save the sport or what’s left to be saved

Makes me think of a party I went to in 1998 at JA's house in Indianola (the guy who crashed his plane). It was a fundraiser for Thad Cochran. Everybody was there. All the catfish guys. All the big farmers in the S Delta. Maybe 15 or 20 Republicans from Jackson drove up. Packed house.

On the drive back I asked my boss how much money we raised for Thad. There was a long, long pause. And then he said: $10,000.

I was like... What?!?

Thad came down to the Delta and took a day out of his life for ten thousand fricking dollars. I was 26 years old and even I was embarrassed.

We're the poorest state in the nation. I just can't imagine that we are going to be able to field and fund two competitive football teams in the new money environment.

Either one team moves to a lower level. Or we combine the teams. Or we both will eventually settle to the bottom. It's just math.

I'm just glad State didn't have enough money to prevent Kevin Coleman from leaving for Columbia, MO. Glad to have him back home!

It’s hard to give a frick anymore. As much as I want to hate on Auburn or rivals ole miss, WE inflict more damage on ourselves than they could ever do. We are, top to bottom, lead by the most pathetic leadership imaginable and we keep refusing to learn from our mistakes. I hate everyone associated with the university from president down to the security guards. frick our incompetent administration, faculty, coaches, athletic department…..EVERYONE!
