It’s cool but it’s such a waste of money and resources. Especially with all the basic improvements Davis Wade (second oldest D1 stadium in the nation) needs.

Football is the money maker. They need to be putting money into that instead. It’s part of the reason you’ve seen Ole Miss’s baseball program tanked since we won the national title.

I get what you’re saying. Only a handful of baseball programs are actually profitable. That being said baseball is one of the top 3 sports behind basketball. What State has done not only drives ticket sales for the school but also results in economic rewards for the town which can be felt the rest of the year

Honestly, we need to tank basketball instead of baseball. Ole Miss has a far larger baseball following than basketball. State's investment in baseball is going to pay off for them in the long run.

The real concern should be whether or not they will be able to afford the revenue share that is coming this summer. Most schools have held construction projects simply due to the revenue share issue.

For the record this is a master plan, not imminently in the works. This version of DNF is like 6 years old so I think you’re looking at another 5 years or so before anything like this happens.

That's what I thought when I looked at it. It's just a continuation of the original plans.

Even with how horrible our basketball programs history is, it’s still makes more money than baseball does. Basketball needs to be invested in more than baseball does.

You do realize you had an electric full house against Auburn today? Basketball is a bigger money maker if you let it be. But by all means tank your basketball program. It will hurt Ole Miss financially and in this day and age of paying players, you need every penny.

I have always been envious of Duby noble. I miss the trailer park in left field.

Isn't baseball squarely number 3 behind football and mens basketball?

No baseball program is profitable. Even LSU has been in the RED for the past 3 seasons.
