Alter, the change of the flag is going to happen and then my eyes are turned to Georgia to do the right thing.

People have wanted it gone long before this. It’s long overdo, and MS has lost out on business over it for years.

It’s not a knee jerk reaction, it’s just the last straw:

It was put on the ballot for the people of Mississippi to vote on. 64% voted to keep it. I see you're not one to abide by election results unless they suit you. So, does it need to be put on the ballot annually until you get your way and then the people will never get to address it again?

Maybe you should leave Mississippi for a venue that will provide you with the echo chamber you so strongly desire.

And? What does that have to do with the current issue of it still being the MS flag? Why are you so upset?

Are you really a State fan? If so, one who is completely ignorant of the state and recent history.

Ole Miss removed the flag before MSU.

Good fricking question, genius. Our governor won’t even do that.

It was on the ballot in 2001.

The flag needs to change. It’s been too long and it’s time.

It’s going to be pretty funny when they open it to a vote and residents vote to still keep the flag and state and ole miss are more screwed

Most Democrats dont realize that there are certain ways to get things done that dont involve burning them/tearing them down.

This isn’t going to improve Mississippi’s image at all. Instead of complaining about the flag, out of state people and local hicklibs will just start saying Mississippi is that backward-arse state that didn’t get rid of their no-no flag until 2020. They could put an image of your AD’s tranny kid wearing a wakanda scarf and kneeling as the flag and no one would think any better of Mississippi.

Most state issues are not put on a ballot and voted on by the citizens. The only reason to put it on the ballot is so that the politicians can say "Hey, it wasn't me, it was so and so" because they are too big of a pussy to stand up for either side. We elect these idiots for a reason.

The flag continues to hurt Mississippi from an economic standpoint. A lack of attractive jobs is causing a brain drain on the population which creates a dumb voter base that elects complete idiots like Tater Reeves and Cindy Hyde Smith. The brain drain is killing small towns because people like myself have no desire to return to them and start a family. Most students are in undergrad longer than the confederacy lasted. Let that dumb shite go.
