Kevin Faulk
Patrick Peterson

Honorable mention: Tommy Cassanova, Charles Alexander, Laron Landry, Josh Reed, Jerry Stovall, Tommy Hodson, Wendell Davis, Dalton Hilliard, Matt Mauck, Tyrann Mathieu (someday maybe), Alan Faneca, Kevin Mawae, Booger McFarland, Glenn Dorsey

Not bad, but Wade was pre-1970. I would go with the following:

Jordan Matthews
Will Wolford
Jay Cutler
Jamie Duncan

Honorable "special teams" Mention - Jim Arnold

Not sure I agree with Matt Mauck... tho I do not want to be hatin on the guy..

There really is an argument for many on your honorable mention list to be included.

You edited your post and still didn't fix David Greene's name. As a Dawg fan that is just bad.

Any LSU fan with Mathieu over Jacob Hester should really reevaluate themselves.
One guy stood for everything you want out of a football player and representative of your school.
The other guy just didn't.

Down vote it all you want haters.
It's 100% true.

Damn. My bad. I completely disregarded that the thread said 1970-present.

Maybe Cutler would be my replacement, but I knew I'd forget people. Hard to imagine Wolford not on there now that you've mentioned him.

Casey Heyward?
Corey Chavous?
Zac Stacy?
Frank Mordica?

So many tough choices.

I strongly considered Chavous over Duncan, but Duncan twice made All American and was the SEC defensive POY, while Chavous probably had the better pro career.

I personally would put DT on the Mount Rushmore of all college players from 1970 on up. After that, Bennett, Palmer and Andre Smith.

Easy.

I think any Auburn list without Carl Lawson is shite. Any oyster who injuries himself playing naked twister with a bunch of hot coeds, is a fricking hero to men worldwide.

Thread was 1970 - to the present, but still a nice list.
I would add to your HM list: Doc Fenton, Abe Mickal, Steve Van Buren, Gaynell Tinsley, Johnny Robinson, Bert Jones, Leonard Marshall, Corey Webster, Eric Martin, Carlos Carson, Andy Hamilton,
Jeremy Hill, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, and soon Leonard Fournette.

Can't argue. Much.
The mountain might not be big enough to add Shawn Andrews.
