If you're going to put the criminally overrated David Pollack on there, how can you justify leaving off the perennially underrated David Greene?

Pat Willis/Michael Oher

Please tell me this is a joke? Patrick Willis is the best defensive player in our history and was on his way to a HOF career. Oher did start for 4 years but had more holding and personal foul penalties than anyone besides Bradley Sowell. Oher had a great career, but I'd go Terrence Metcalf over Oher in terms of our best lineman.

Unjustifiably winning awards is the precise definition of overrated, TA. You're making my point.

For the Rebals, I'd say:
Eli Manning
Deuce McAllister
Dexter McCluster
Michael Oher

Solid list. Trying to figure out how to get Joe Ferguson on there but don't know who I'd kick off.

In 2004, he turned a downturn season in terms of sacks into his best by coming up with three sacks on Wisconsin who had a wonderful three game losing streak to end the season (crazy season for them. Started 9-0 looked like a title contender, nuclear meltdown to end the season. Blown out by like Iowa and MSU [i think], so of course Richt had to almost lose to them). Lot of great defenders on those Georgia teams. I think many teams focused on them to Pollack's exclusion.

ETA: Also, I think Pollack told reporters after the Outback Bowl something like "don't cry because its over, smile because it happened." He was the greatest 13 year old girl to ever play in the SEC, I'll give you that.

Was fun to watch in the pros. Back when you could hit people going over the middle, dude was an absolute missile for the Broncos.

To everyone bitching about how "we have too many good players to pick just 4" (looking at you bama). Just pick 4.

The United States picked 4 from a much larger pool on actual Mt Rushmore. I think you guys can handle this one.

For UGA split division
Pollack
Champ Bailey
Greene
Gurley

Plus 3x All American.... Overrated multiple times. That guy did nothing but make plays every game.

It's just a difference of opinion. I thought Dan Cody and Matt Roth were more deserving of first team honors in 2004. Those guys didn't have Odell Thurman and Thomas Davis and a who's who of pro defensive players on their teams.
