I would say 2019 Bama but they weren’t really that good. Same exact team as 2020 minus Jeudy. Just didn’t play anybody worth a damn all season.

No BAMA team suffered more season-ending injuries during the coach Saban era than the 2019 bunch. Why do you think you actually got out of the west, barely? If any team needs an asterisk, it's Orgeron's bunch.

Georgia took one away from my Horns in '83, which had something like all 2-deep on defense drafted or something absurd.

The '83 Texas teams still has the record for most players drafted.18 I believe and that was before Jr's were eligible but they did have more rounds back then.

Dooley was not a good post season coach
either.Very suprising outcome.

Basically beat? Being up in the third is not basically beating. Was a great game though I was there. Got meek till USC lost to UCLA and we realized a win here could mean a national title shot.

Had Nutt left Mitch Mustain a lone and gave him a chance to develop then Arkansas had a much better chance of winning that game.

Instead he went with Casey Dick that had 29 yards passing against LSU in the game before. McFadden threw more yards than he did. It was the worst performance by an Arkansas quarterback that I have seen on tv.

Arkansas had no shot without a quarterback and McFadden was hurt for this game and against Wisconsin.

IIRC it was a really rainy day and a defensive struggle throughout. But for some reason, Fred Akers thought Georgia would fake a punt from their own end on 4th and long with almost 4 min to go and all 3 TOs remaining. So he sent out his safe return team, which included a safety named Craig Curry who had never returned a punt before. He muffs, Georgia recovers, scores and wins 10-9.

Poor Curry never lived it down and never showed up to any reunion functions until 2005. Sad story.

I get the troll but 2016 Alabama is the only correct answer for that year. I never seen a defense like that before in my life

Meh, not really. Missing a good bit in 2019. Never saw a team lose that many in season. 11-2 was amazing with that squad but in 2020

Moses was back
McMillan was back
Dale was back
Miller forestall was back
Major Tennyson was back
Labryan Ray was back

The team that finished the 19 season would have gotten dragged by the 2020 team. 2020 was very fortunate with the injury bug except for waddle. After getting those guys back I knew the ONLY thing that prevent a national title was a wave of that many injuries again.

You really didn’t. The play happened in the 3rd quarter when you were up by 4 points. Plenty of time for a team to re-group and win the game. The muffed punt is a weak excuses. UGA, Vandy, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Auburn all played us closer in 2006 than Arkansas did.
