Mike Evans and his ridiculous catches made Manziel look a whole lot better than he was.

One of the most retarded statements that gets repeated on every college message board. You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about if you actually think this.

In Manziel’s Heisman year Mike Evans accounted for 1105 of Manziel’s 5116 total yards (21.6%) and just 5 of his 47 total TDs (10.6%).

Yes in their 2nd year Evans accounted for a higher % (28.6 and 26) but a lot of people seem to have forgotten their freshman year.

Ya, in a thread about individuals, he never won a significant individual award. Not even the best individual award. Great point.

If that's the case than everyone that didn't go to Bama should be on this list.

Bo Scarbrough

This is it. So much hype, never really lived up to his potential. Dont get me wrong, obviously he wasn't a terrible player, but he always seemed a bit overrated imo.

He showed that the hype was justified. But unfortunately, he got injured way too often, and has hurt him from teaching his potential.

So while I understand why people would say Bo. I have a hard time considering him the most overrated.

Beast when healthy wasn't the same after knee injury. It's more coaches fault he got that many touches. I can see how that would seem overrated to the uninformed.

Manziel was poo on plays that didn't involve making things up. It's part of the reason he was absolute trash in the NFL.

You assholes letting him beat you at home created his legend. Way to go.

Except he wasn’t. You don’t shite yourself to 5116 yards and 47 TDs. People just seem to have a selective memory about him.

And your original comment was about Mike Evans making him which was BS.

Outside of that LSU and UF game, he lit pretty much everyone else up. He crushed some SEC records and absolutely demolished Oklahoma in the playoffs.

Tell me about it. He wasn't that good, which is kind of the point of this thread. Some of yall act like he was the second coming of Jesus. Yay, he beat the mighty Saban in Tuscaloosa. Big fricking deal. That doesn't mean yall need to defend him years later.

You'd think Aggie would understand what the title of this thread is and realize their only claim to any sort of relevance this decade in football is the very definition of overrated.

He also broke nearly all the SEC single season passing records... no big deal.

Again, with smoke and mirrors.

ETA: And according to this page, he doesn't own any SEC passing records.
