Legends build over time and once we let those records Joe set sink the lore will grow.

Idiot.

Herschel set world records in track, was an Olympic bobsledder, a 7th degree black belt, and undefeated in MMA as like a 50 year old. He has literally excelled at every sport he's ever performed in.

1. Pistol Pete
2. Hershel and Bo
3. Spurrier when you add his coaching career

Burrow is a less controversial Cam Newton. He will be a legend at LSU, but will not be revered like the others on your list 20 years from now, outside of the fanbase he played for.

I have a feeling those records will fall sooner than people think.

It seems like we have been introduced to a once-in-a-generation style player every year since Tim Tebow showed up to the SEC in 2006. When he graduated in 2009, we thought we'd never see another player like him ever again. Then Cam Newton showed up at Auburn the very next year. Two years later...Johnny Manziel ran through the conference with his air and ground attack skills. Alabama had two QBs finish as the Heisman runner-up in 2013 and 2018.

Mike Leach has arrived in the SEC and he will soon unleash his patented Air Raid offense onto the league. Whoever that QB is will put up yardage because of the system he runs. It won't surprise me if MSU's starter throws for over 4,000 yards next year. If they stumble onto a talent like Dak Prescott while Leach is there, that QB could definitely make a run at Burrow's numbers.

Tim Tebow, prove me wrong

Coach Bryant, Broadway Joe, Archie Manning, Reggie White, Peyton, Herschel, Bo, and Spurrier are probably all more legends than Tim.

Bobsledder ? He sits really well in that sled

Bo was an All-star in two sports and had world class speed.

Considering the season Joe had never happened in 150 years and happened against SEC competition and playoff layout I’m gonna say the deck is stacked against you.
I wouldn’t put much money on it.
You and I may be dead before it pays out.

A. I'm pretty sure he's not losing sleep over your opinion of his career.
B. Your last Natty happened when African Americans had to use a separate bathroom.
C. Its a young coaches game now. He only failed here because of that reason. He wasn't into recruiting, kissing arse and constantly finding the best position coaches.

If I was a 10rc fan, I would go with Reggie White.

I agreed in my mind at first, because ,for one,joe was only in the sec for 2 years and his first year at Lsu was above average, but not great.

Then the more I thought about it, my mind changed.
This past season was literally as close as a quarterback can be, without being perfect. His play was freaking unreal, dude seriously had streaks of whole games in a row without making the wrong read or throwing any uncatchable balls.

He was doing This against, by the time the season was over, a rediculous number of the best teams . and there were great defenses on a lot of those teams.

The guy won every award that he qualified to be considered for.he
Then plays the two best games, by a qb ,ever played in the playoff era.

Either game would have been the best single playoff game ever. His two opportunities ended up being number 1 and 2 on cfp qb play. The Eye test and the stats proved that.

He Wins the Heisman trophy and has what's considered ,by most opinion the 2nd best Heisman speech ever, where he raises half a million dollars for his hometown food bank.

He Will go number 1 overall in the NFL draft, unless he's shown to have way worse of an arm strength issue then what we may have thought possible. Maybe there's a slim chance someone trades up for tua but I believe he's qb1 on 90 %of pro teams board, so if they want tua they know they don't have to go past pick 2.

Anyway,
the Dudes worst game was against auburn. These were those, " worst game",stats .

32 of 42 ,321 yards, 1td 1 int.

Against the best competition, and best defensive teams ,he was great. To show that, I'm
Combining the great d of Florida, the great d of auburn, bama (I know I know, but the secondary was legit),the number 1 sec and maybe even top 5 in the country , at the time, Georgia. And lastly ,the number 1 overall,in the whole country, defense of clemson.
The results of burrows numbers against just those 5 great teams and ds are below..

363yards is his per game average in those 5 games.
His Completion percentage in those 5 games is 74.4
Total passing tds in those 5 games against those great ds was 17tds against 1int.
That was against secondaries full of 1st rounders. Off the top of my head; Xavier McKinney,aj Terrel, the bama guy that chase abused, surtain. There are others.

Add the national championship and the games MVP.

Season totals in yards, tds, and completion percentage are all records of some kind, either sec or national records.
Finished season with 5671 yards passing, 76.3 completion percentage,60 tds and 6 ints.

Continued achievements this year; he Will have his high schools field named after him. This was decided before he played a snap in the national championship game.
I've heard people say that they can't find any story on any high school doing that, for anyone. This is before the guy even finished his college career in sports and in academics completely.

There's a proposal to name a street by Lsu campus after Joe.this proposal was put in shortly after the national championship game.

He Will be the only athlete or famous person/coach, that i know of, that will get a statue made of them, when they didn't even take anything but online classes at the school.
He was a grad transfer,on the team for 2 years and will, for sure ,require a statue .
ive also heard that, that was already being discussed, but I don't know shite, so don't listen to me. Lol.

Yeah, I think the sec may have a hard time forgetting about the guy who had the perfect year and perfect year isn't a hyperbolic statement, like usual. Non Lsu fans that didn't watch every snap didntt really get the full effect.

We watched the guy go multiple games in a row where he wouldn't throw a single bad pass or make the wrong read ,it's just hard to explain how comfortable he made us with watching Lsu.

You know you had A great year when it takes a post that long to list your ,recent ,1 years worth, of accomplishments .

Sorry above post is so long, but it honestly was hard to list his past year of accomplishments ,in a more compacted manner

Nobody ever said he wasn't fast. I saw him and Bo compete in the 100 meters in the SECC. But Bo did it in two sports at the highest levels. Two All-Star appearances in two sports and even an MVP of an All-star game. That is not like Walker getting a participation trophy for a regional meet in track.
