So again, you think LSU will simply not move in the rankings even if they beat #1?

UT kicked your arse at home, they are going to get in before LSU unless LSU pulls out a miracle and beats UGA which probably is not going to happen.

So lets say everything holds pat and by some miracle LSU does beat Georgia, you're saying they will not move in the rankings despite beating the #1 team?

What I am saying is that for LSU to make it 4 of these teams needs to lose two or more games

Clemson
Georgia
Tennessee
TCU
USC
Ohio State
Michigan

sorry......

They might, but not into the top 4

It will take several teams ahead of them to have two or more losses

That's simply false.

You really have no idea how this works do you?

The committee already told you they don't give a frick about LSU having two losses by putting them at #6.

Yeah, that is the ticket.

Every time I talk to you you prove more and more you are clueless how things actually work. Dream your big dreams until reality sets in.

You keep saying LSU needs all these teams to lose 2 games.

You must not realize that LSU has already jumped several of them despite them only having 1 loss.

You think that the rankings are set?

Oh child, your research skills and common sense are way out of kilter

Bottom line, LSU needs several teams to lose two games to even have a chance (and there is really no chance of it happening)

Clemson
Georgia
Tennessee
TCU
USC
Ohio State
Michigan

Four of those teams need to lose two or more games, so tell me where they will lose them and to whom

while you are at it, tell me how LSU moves higher to top those teams with their remaining schedule

Of course not, but teams like Clemson, USC, and Tennessee have no chance to jump LSU if LSU wins out and beats #1 Georgia.

The loser of Ohio State/Michigan will drop, the question is just how far.

You say LSU needs Georgia to lose two games but that's completely incorrect, LSU needs Georgia to stay undefeated. If Georgia drops in the rankings prior to the SECCG, then LSU has no shot to vault into the final 4 with a victory over the Dawgs.

I'm glad I could educate you on this, I hope you learned something.

It isn't just about number of wins/losses.

Because LSU plays #1 Georgia.

Are you daft?

Bottom line is the committee always ranks the teams so they can cover the eventualities they want/expect.
If they were going to put Clemson in with 1 loss they would be ahead of LSU presently…same with USC…
If LSU by some miracle, wins out, they will be in and they will use the SEC championship as the reason to jump Tenn. if LSU loses, then Tenn is in place to take the Mich/Ohio at losers spot…if TCU, LSU both lose, it opens a big door for USC and Clemson to get in. They are protecting their narrative in case LSU wins or if they need to put Tenn in…
They do this every year…

So LSU's opponents have one more win than Tennessee's opponents.....Hmmm....I wonder if that might be because LSU lost one more game than Tennessee has?

If ranking the best teams was all they worried about, they would have had TCU in 4 for the first poll and LSU would be behind every 1 loss team…
Not how they do it and they claim it’s because of the “eye” test but it’s really a business decision

Things that need to happen for LSU to be in the playoff:
LSU win out
USC loses again
Clemson loses ACCCG
TCU loses B12CG, probably badly required

Things that aren't going to happen but would also help but they aren't going to happen:
Tennessee losing to South Carolina or Vanderbilt
Michigan or Ohio St losing to Illinois or Maryland, respectively.
Winner of Ohio st Michigan losing B10CG

If LSU wins out, and if Clemson, and USC and TCU all spill the beans, which is *possible* Here are the committee playoff options:

Undefeated B10 champion (in, obviously)

3 spots for these 4 teams:

11-1 B10 team whose only loss is to only undefeated team left in the country

or

12-1 Georgia

or

11-1 Tennessee

or

11-2 LSU

ONE OF THESE THINGS ISNT LIKE THE OTHERS.
