Tenn. needs the following teams to lose and not win a Conference Championship to get into the playoffs:
I agree with USC and TCU
This might be the undefeated teams or one loss teams at the end of the year
Clemson
Georgia
Tennessee
TCU
USC
Ohio State
Michigan
Pick four of those for the CFP

Every situation is different. Did Penn State win its conference championship over the number 1 ranked team at the end of the season? No? Then it isn’t the same situation. In 2007 we were told no 2 loss team would play in the BCS CG. But it happened..if LSU does manage to beat UGA the dynamic is very different from the Penn State situation.

I highly doubt LSU wins the SEC Championship (and they still need to win the next 2 games), however I HIGHLY doubt the CFB Playoff Committee will leave out the conference champions from the best conference in CFB.

But but but… I’ve been told UNC hasn’t played anyone! ??

None of that will matter when UT gets smashed by USCe tomorrow night.

Some Cfb analyst yesterday said that LSU has to beat Georgia by a similar amount Georgia beat Tennessee and tennessee beat Georgia by or else it is not comparable

So LSU's opponents have one more win than Tennessee's opponents.....Hmmm....I wonder if that might be because LSU lost one more game than Tennessee has?
Dammit! Will you just sit down and be quiet for a minute???

Stronger strength of schedule. If LSU takes care of business in ATL, we’re in.
That's the funny part.

You are correct there but I highly doubt LSU beats UGA let alone beats them so badly there would be a chance.
In 2007 the top teams all lost in the final week to allow LSU to make it. The difference here is that5 all those top 7 teams would have to have more than 1 loss to allow LSU in.
Clemson
Georgia
Tennessee
TCU
USC
Ohio State
Michigan
Tell me the two losses for each team

That Penn State team beat number 2 Ohio State and number 6 Wisconsin with two losses on the road. Who you lose two and where you lose matters. The 2007 LSU team had two overtime losses and was undefeated in regulation time which was the mantra of all LSU fans at the time with every other possible team in contention having two losses which is a major difference than the current LSU situation

Honestly if LSU has a chance to go then Alabama has a chance to go, and IMO Alabama has no chance to go.

Except Alabama will not be playing the #1 team.
You seem to have very little conceptual understanding of how the CFP selection process works.

No...just no. A 2 loss non-conference winner has 0% chance

Only problem with your argument is that Alabama has made the CFP as a non-conference champion. Perhaps you need to rethink your position.
Regardless, LSU has no chance at making the CFP even if they win against UGA.

Okay?
That has nothing to do with anything being discussed here.

So lets say everything holds pat and by some miracle LSU does beat Georgia, you're saying they will not move in the rankings despite beating the #1 team?
