That's what I don't understand. Most of their fans think that Im obsessed. I just don't see it. I could understand if it was trolling, but they are actually drinking the cool aid themselves.
I'm always down to learn something new and measure out the situation, but I don't see them winning the west any time soon.

I don't hate State. Had several friends attend there. Take off your blinders and you'll notice I talk about every SEC team, State fans in particular just need to be called out more than others this off-season.

They say that to anybody who calls them out on their shite because they have nothing tangible to back it up with. Just like at their responses to me on the last page.
Honestly I think they just dont know any better. They're losing their GOAT coach and coming off their best decade since before WW2, but they are still preseason top 25 despite breaking in a new HC and I think they just don't know how to handle that level of "success". They've never been in this situation before and much like Ricky Bobby they don't know what to do with their hands.
They remind me of one of those cocky 10 yr old boys who thinks he knows everything about a certaim subject and refuses to admit has wrong. Even when called out he lacks the world experience to realize he's being made a fool of.
You saw that video the other week of the little brat caught vandalizing cars at a ballpark? This will end up like that for State. They think they can lay their hands on the adults, but once one barely pushes back they'll fall to the ground, start wailing tears like a baby, and cry child abuse (aka its not fair that we're better than them)

Literally every other fanbase has called me obsessed with them on here, even Kentucky and Mizzou. You read more threads and posts about State so you see me comment more on y'all, you dont have to be Sherlock to figure that out. Trust me, y'all ain't special.

What State fan has said any damn thing about winning the West. Most State fans think we'll win 8-10 games and go to the Outback or Citrus Bowl, and if thing go well maybe, just maybe, a NY6 Bowl. What's so irrational about that when you have 18 starters back from a 9-4 team that is being consistently ranked in preseason polls anywhere between #10-#20 in the nation? Sure, the big ? marks are the health of Fitzgerald to Moorhead's lack of HC experience, but all teams have ? marks. I mean, State haswitn 9 games or more 3 of the last 4 years, but we're idiots for thinking we can do it with 80% of our team returning from a 9 win # 19 ranking last year. Damn, there are some retards on here.

I didn't say your hatred for State exceeded your hatred of any other team. But you have instigated some silly arguments about State in other threads, and researched obscure statistics to support them.
The question you raised was why we are excited about Moorhead as an OC, and you cited incorrect facts in questioning his ability. I answered your question, and you switched gears to questioning the talent of the players.
I'm not playing that game with you. The thread was about the coaches.

The fact that Fitzgerald completes less than 50% of his passes against the top defenses he plays isn't an obscure stat, everybody knows he isn't a good passer.

Well, we do have a bunch of talent returning, and if, I say if, things go well this is a year we could possibly(it is slim) but a chance we could win the West. Like your Hawgs there hasn't been many years where it is at least possible. What is the rest of the picture we're not looking at old wise one? I said we have a couple of big ? marks. I say 8-10 wins should be expected, and most every preseason prognostication(Athlons, Lindys, CBS, SNews, ESPN, USA Today, etc) agrees. What do you see that is different? Your Hawgs are probably going to suck again so you want State to suck also? Again, what's the rest of this picture you see because obviously you're one of the few that sees it.

You, and everyone else that keeps bringing this up (mostly Ole Miss fans) are only embarrassing yourselves. If State had pulled his scholarship, Gus and Hugh, along with Saban and everyone else, would've been there the next morning recruiting him to their respective schools. Since State decided against doing that, everyone gets to sit in their judgement seat and run down a kid while not knowing 1/4th of the story.
Kid has been a model student athlete, carrying a 4.0 while being a leader on the team and earning all SEC honors. I think it's time you stop being a punk arse bitch over all of this and give the kid his due for turning a negative into a positive.
