Ilinois going places....
They chickened out on the football series with Mizzou in St Louis after Mizzou destroyed them.
Odom took Missouri to a bowl last year and Lovie is just doing Illinois things.

Kilo, who else would Illinois honestly get that is a bigger name than Lovie?
The university isn't what it used to be like when I was a kid growing up.
Unfortunately the whole athletic department is in the shitter for many different reasons.
I love Champaign as it's the largest town that is closest to me. I am up there frequently. But, you add in that it's in the middle of nowhere, ridiculous property taxes and the instate talent is minimal (plus most higher rated players are from Chicago land that didn't grow up as a fan), this is what happens.
The university is also going down the shitter with shitty administration, they killed off The Chief and are more focused on diversity and education rather than sports. And there has been some weird arse crimes happen on campus.

I'm kind of the same. I'm Arkansas/grew up Illini fan.
There is a reason why we are here. The B1G sucks man. Grow up remembering when it was a tough conference. Now look at it. It's a mess, and the SEC is dominating.
I became a fan because I was a recruiter in Arkansas for 3 years. Wasn't much stuff outside of the outdoors. Lots of Razorback fans, that pride. I know Arkansas has sucked donkey balls too, but I love the Razorbacks. I'm sure OP is the same way.
I really enjoy Champaign too. It has the most to offer me as someone who is in the boonies away from populated areas. I know it's better that what I posted, but young kids aren't going to take that and old facilities when they could go to many other places that will win more.

Man, aggies need to learn a bit of humility. You act like Texas fans, except you don't ever really win anything -- hell texas tech fans are better than you at the moment.
Just admit that State is better than you in Football and baseball and move on. We make do with less because we develop teams, work hard and GRIND. These are old-school aggie traits, not like you t-sip wannabees
Ps. So When State beats you AGAIN this year in football, remember that you are paying 4x for an acc coach than we are for our new guy.

I understand some people on here can’t pick up some tv if their aluminum foil isn’t just right on their antenna, but Moorhead was the 2016 Offensive Coordinator of the year and his 16 offense broke the record for passing yards, total yards, and points scored at Penn State.
