We’re still paying for BO’s shitshows. Most of us knew that going into the season.
The good news is that Eli is a good recruiter and I hope the STL media don’t run him out of the state.

Most everyone being honest was predicting between 6-8 wins. We knew our front 7 was in rough shape.
People sour on coaches when teams are losing no doubt, but the vast majority realized this was a pretty significant rebuild and Drink is recruiting quite well so he still has vast majority support.
Our best player on defense is maybe a transfer CB from Tulsa.

This really pisses of Arkansas fans but Odom could not recruit. That’s the main issue. Unless you’re Gary Pinkel (who still recruited better than Odom) you can’t win with vastly inferior talent. Everyone thought we’d win two games last year because Odom’s roster sucked so bad and we went 5-5. We’ve lost two right road games to decent teams this year because our defense has very little talent. It is what it is. The talent is being upgraded and it’s going to take awhile.

Odom wasn't cut out for the big chair and I'm sure still isn't. DC is his high water mark.
As you pointed out his recruiting sucked. His media relations were root canal painful. He single-handedly destroyed the DLineZou pipeline Pinkel created. His game-clock management was awful.
He had the time to prove himself and improve, but he just wasn't ready to be a head coach in the SEC.
