Alabama vs Tennessee is a non-issue.

Wrong. may be one sided right but hasn't always been and won't always be. This is clearly about Auburn wanting to play in the easier division. That too will not always be the case. Ignorant short sighted arguments from the Aubs. Like it or not Bama and UT are the two teams who did the most to build this conference and make it the powerhouse that it is. If they want to play every year, they have earned that right. Nobody is forcing SEC schools to stay in the conference. If Auburn doesn't like it, they can leave, ACC would love have them and they are a great fit for lil bro schoosls like Auburn.

Why does Georgia keep getting these opportunistic seasons with a weak East year after year?

The Missouri/Auburn switch should have taken place long ago. The SEC has had long enough to figure things out since the initial expansion.

Time is up.

SCARED.

Bama in the East isn't really logical though.

look at a map,it's every bit as logical as Vandy in the East

But it kills the Bama v MS State game

Pods is the only answer that makes sense

There seems to be 3 viable ways of setting up divisions.

1) geography - my favorite
2) competitive balance
3) good ole boy way, which we are doing now

The best options are go to 16 and pods or change the NCAA rules and allow conferences with 12 or more teams to compete without divisions and send the top 2 teams to champ game. AU and Mizz switching as is will NEVER happen.

The non division idea is the best imo today. Lock 3 games and rotate 6 ( or 5)

Alabama- AU, UT, LSU
Arkansas- LSU, TxAM, Mizz
Auburn- UA, UGA, UF
Florida- UGA, UT, AU
Georgia- AU, UF, USC
Kentucky-UT, VU, USC
LSU- Ark, OM, UA
Miss- LSU, MSU, VU
Miss St-OM, TxAM, VU
Missouri-Ark,TxAM, USC
So Car-UGA, Mizz, UK
Tennessee-UF, UA, UK
TxAM-Ark, Mizz, MDU
Vandy- OM,UK, MSU

I like this idea as much as pods

Would have to be 4 perm though

SE. must have LSU v aTm, Bama v State and Tennessee v Vandy

Here you go. settled.

East: - West:
UGA - Alabama
Auburn - LSU
Florida - Mississippi state
South Carolina - Ole Miss
Missouri - Arkansas
Kentucky - Texas a&m
Tennessee - Vandy

This is as balanced you'll get playing wise, and geographically.

The assumption is that will be there be a 16th team to go with OU. Just don't know who that will be. OU may be a package deal with OkSU. Whether the SEC takes that, I don't know.

West:

Vandy

2 things
A - The West is LSU's yearly
B - Tn. & Vandy go everywhere together. So move Vandy back or Tn. to the west.

UGA/SC...NOT a must keep game. Give us Tn. or Miss. instead.

Also, no divisions or pods will require tie breakers to determine who's better than whom with no common opponents!

So AU vs UF has more tradition than Bama vs TN?

It’s not about tradition for you Awbs. It’s about being in the weaker division. At least be honest.
