This is the year that the defense he inherited are all in their last year. The defense will drastically drop off next year. So yeah this is their chance. I'm pretty sure this is a falsehood.

It is. Leach didn’t inherit much at all, he played mostly freshman and transfers in 2020

I don’t know what’s gonna happen. That’s the deal with leach. He could lay a turd like Texas tech, Memphis and the egg bowl or he can completely incapacitate you (auburn second half, aTm). It’s a mixed bag, but history shows every now and then he avoids the losses to teams we should beat, and that makes for great seasons.

This is, as a matter of fact, incorrect. But I'm not surprised you guys are so obsessed that you're combing through State's two deep. You know all about some of our guys coming up on defense, because Kiffin wanted them and didn't get them. Ty Cooper, Trevion Williams, John Lewis, etc. State's gonna be fine, contrary to your hopes and prayers.

Not to mention transfer portal destroys all the typical arguments like depth and experience on existing rosters. It still matters but the portal allows you fill those gaps with seasoned players and Leach has done well with that. See our secondary this year compared to last

Yep.

State could roll Arkansas or lose by 14. No one knows.

OM fans sure came out the woodwork after we beat a ranked team and entered the top 25 yet state fans on this board have seemed to care none about y’all being undefeated and top 10.

Enjoy your season don’t worry about us until thanksgiving #rentfree

his best win in Starkville is a win over an 8-4 Texas A&M squad who bailed on their bowl game.

Actually it was beating a 10-3 Kentucky team that finished top 20

He is trying to deflect cuz he knows they're gonna lose to Bama and UGA and then inexplicably lose two more games for no reason.

I almost never think about Mississippi State out here in California.

But it was pretty hilarious we spoiled your natty by winning one this year. And our football program is miles ahead of yours. Leach and state getting hyped for an 8-4 season at best is pretty fricking hilarious too.

you didnt spoil our national championship...you think too highly of yourself.

if om had to win a national championship for state to win one, i would do it a million times over. im just eternally grateful we did it first...and had to beat national powerhouses to do so.

legitimate congrats on your national championship.

imo, i think it creates a less toxic environment, which is a good thing.

For this year? 9-3 would be incredible. The expectations were low with a new staff, new QB, a large number of starters from the portal and only 75 scholarship players. We also have a lot of FR playing.

Completely agree with you. My comment was directed to the other LSU fan who acted like 9-3 was something to scoff at

This is supposed to be the year for Mike Leach.
What will his final record be?

We will win at least 4 games this year. That's about all I can say.

Memphis - SEC Officials gave them the game.
Texas Tech - 1/2 the team was not playing or out with COVID.
