Leach is not getting as fair a shake as he deserves simply because of the success OM is having under Kiffin. Any other period in State’s history he is fine. His success should not be viewed through a lens of comparison to OM although I realize that’s basically not possible.

- Crumedy 4 star DL

MS is a DL hotbed...bases covered there. we have recruited lightyears better in the secondary for better part of a decade and im sure we can find some try-hards at LB once our talented ones move out in the distant future. we will be fine. the fact that we keep hitting in the secondary year after year is amazing.

Worried? 2-0 we are a top 10 team with a young offense and a defense with multiple years of eligibility left most places. I couldn't give a frick about state. I just think it is funny that you don't realize that the defense can't maintain what it is. Leach only has the record he has because of defensive talent. If that isn't maintained the low 20 points per game he scores in most SEC games isn't going to get it done.

UGA will likely win, but Kent St and Mizzou proved that UGA isn't an unstoppable force either.
There is a lot of parity in the SEC this year. I think it will still be a couple more weeks before we know who the top 3-6 teams are below UGA and Bama granted they don't get upset.

It is a legitimate debate. Leach has never played defense. Never had defensive talent. State recruits itself on defense with the booster network historically. Can he maintain the defense that he has had with a roster that is mostly his players.
It is relevant on is this state's year, because this might be the best defense he has for a while with an experienced QB.
