First of all, ms state fans will be glad they didn’t get these waste of money lights that are more of a nuisance than anything. Nobody at BDS gets all pumped when they turn these frickers on. Most everybody looks at each other like…wtf?
Second, ms state has always had funding problems and football is extremely expensive.
I heard an interview with Larry Templeton years ago talk about how ms state put a focus on baseball because it was more feasible for them financially.

They're pretty awesome and add a lot to the experience.

There is nothing special about these LED lights.
They use 10-20% of the electricity of the previous lights and lave a lifespan 40x longer.
There is something a bit special about them.

John Cohen neglected our football stadium renovations so we have been far behind where we have needed to be
I went to the “Cadillac” game in ‘22 and I thought State’s stadium was super nice with all the renovations. The stadium is 10X nicer than when we went in 2016. I honestly thought it was one of the better stadium reno’s I’ve seen.

Who gives a shite if you do or don’t have LED lights .
Just win your games. That’s all that matters

“John Cohen went on to hire several other coaches that have succeeded at Mississippi State. Obviously, Mike Leach being the biggest name, but he has also hired Chris Jans as the Mississippi State men’s basketball head coach, Julie Darty Dennis as the women’s volleyball coach, Sam Purcell as the Mississippi State women’s basketball head coach, and Chris Lemonis as Mississippi State’s baseball head coach.”

“Cohen has also worked closely with athletic department personnel to promote all facets of the baseball program and raise money for a new state-of-the-art stadium. Eight of the university’s top 10 all-time marks in baseball season ticket sales have come during Cohen’s tenure,”

“A two-time SEC Coach of the Year, he was named MSU’s director of athletics on November 4, 2016, and led the Bulldog program to record-breaking success athletically and academically. Cohen also successfully completed many capital project campaigns during his tenure, including a nearly $70 million renovation of historic Dudy Noble Field.”

This legitimately the most ole Miss thread ever. If we add LED lights it’s cause they did but if we don’t we are poor. How many people ever went to a game to see the LED lights? Sounds system has needed to be upgraded for 30 years. That is a legit gripe. LED lights who cares

That is a lot of work to try to convince yourself that Cohen is a competent AD.

No need for a sound system when they all wave cowbells the whole time.

This is a very classy reply on your part. You have your priorities in order.

No. LED lights are trashy and appreciated only by those with pedestrian tastes and the attention span of a goldfish.

Hornady, ole miss fan, making another thread about Mississippi State.
Some things never change
Thanks for your deep concern. I hope we manage to correct your perceived shortcomings about (checks notes) literally our field and stadium lighting.

Cowbell AD needs to fire up Temu and see what they have to offer. I'm sure he could probably qualify for one of those discounts they always advertise.
