Not sure how Missouri ever weaseled their way in. They should be in the B1G but they probably wouldn’t take them.

Bro. I’m not trying to be a dick but your university is located in arguably the worst state in America. Deep down, you really have to know that you don’t contribute much.
Sorry man. Mississippi State is a much more beautiful campus than UGA. It's not even close.

250,000? That sounds like what LSU students will be paying to pay for their coaches and players. Remind me, is it only the players that have income tax exemptions, or do coaches have it as well in Louisiana?

Seems like that was our record under Jimbo.

I believe Lebby is a good coach.

Y'all laugh, but could buy a lot of property around Starkville.

26-27 sounds like a record they could aspire to over the next 5 years that is a lot better than they usually do.

The NIL and transfer portal era is making schools other than Texas and maybe LSU (if Raisin Canes guy bails, they are like the rest) choose which sports to invest in. MSU would be smart to just invest big in baseball and let the chips fall where they may in football and basketball.

Seems to be the strategy

In all seriousness I think the path to relevancy for the non-traditional powerhouses, frugal athletic departments is to accept scaping by for 3/4 years and then go all in 1/4.
With the current setup you can flip a roster in one offseason. Schools like Auburn, Arkansas, Mizzou, Carolina don't have enough funding to offset the fact they aren't blue bloods. If they put the NIL fund for 3 years straight into a pool drawing interest and then splash it on year 4 they can go from "we just don't have enough to compete" every year to a playoff run every 4 years

Apparently the new model is be relevant for 2 years in anything then call yourself a blue blood at that sport. Just look Ole Miss/UT do it.
