Serious question but why don't they just put him down at this point? Never heard of an animal going into hospice care. Sure it's not exactly the same but my dog had an inoperable tumor on his spine. The vets gave him about a month to live and instead of just letting him slowly die, we decided to put him down while he still didn't know he was sick.

So sad and so sorry.

Bet he wouldn't get hospice care in the wild, though.

Geaux well, Mike VI!

Im pretty sure that is what is happening. I doubt they let him suffer. He's probably as high as he can get right now.

I'm pretty sure he'll be put to sleep within the next 48 hours if it hasn't happened already....

I thought the plan was to put him down instead of letting it get worse. I think we kept him in the enclosure as long as possible to allow people to visit on last time.

Or they could be trying to let him hang on until we get mike VII

I'll accept the down votes but why spend the money for hospice when the poor animal can just be put to sleep painlessly.

That's sad. I hope they take good care of him. Make him comfortable. Poor guy.
