Born on my birthday when I was living in LA for grad school at ULL. Sad day. The best mascot in sports.

Tony is near the end of his life span as well. Pretty sure he is past the natural life of a wild tiger despite his shite care.

Tony is 16 years old. Tiger living in captivity live about 10 years.

Yeah, easily the coolest live mascot in all of sports.

Sad day for our friends on the other side of the Sabine. May the VIIths life be long and full of many great memories (hopefully not too great on Thanksgiving weekends ;) ).

If they can keep him out of pain, why not let him enjoy the last of his days in comfort.

But if he's suffering, I 100% agree with you.

Okay. Thanks for the answer. Apparently asking an honest question really upset some of your fellow LSU fans for reasons I can only speculate relate to mental problems.

Some of us are just really touchy and are upset by the concept that we wouldn't take the best care possible. Mike is almost like family to some of us. I would stop and see him every day my freshman year because I would walk past his cage to get to one of my classes. It made my day every day.

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
