Well if he has serious brain damage he could always be an SEC ref, politician or certainly any member on this board. (Lol) Sorry you to try to layoff sometime with news like this.
Not sure why CT scan didn’t catch it doc, but when I went back did some dye contract scan with exhaustion etc , they found it. (Took half a day) but I am always a zebra on everything
The complexities of human mind are still beyond our full comprehension, I had an aunt that was eaten up with cancer as a child so they didn’t treat her or tell her, of course she died,…92 years later. My grandmother had 98% total blockade of her arteries but too old and feeble for surgery so we gathered to say goodbye, and she died too, …6 years later. My friends wife is a quad and has been given last rites 4 times and is still alive now almost 20 years later. We are about to have the forth last Christmas for my father in law, although this one is probably his last.
So until and if, we hear he is gone there is hope. As you near your inevitable death as we all must do if we are lucky enough to live long enough it becomes clear that we are more than the sum of all of our parts, so hopefully your learned and I am sure accurate portrayal is wrong this one time. Like you guys tell me all the time, “medicine is more of an art than a science. The dictates of the human mind, body and soul make it so”
We just need a little Christmas miracle, and “that ain’t no big thing”

true. Tigerpride 18 did not make that comment. Some clown named Homer Pelican did.

It’s a fricking mess, do you let the interim AD find a new coach or hire an AD first and let him do it?
Ask the high ranking Arkansas boosters what they would do, and then do the exact opposite. That's how we ended up with Chad Morris.
Prayers to Leach. He is the definition of one of a kind.

I think they would just promote Arnett for a year and then re-evaluate next offseason once a new AD is place. I doubt Arnett is ready but they’ll return a lot of talent, and with a solid OC, he might do okay.

Yes I know. Tigerpride 18 has vouched for me. I replied to the wrong person.

So I doubt they play. There’s more to life than just a game with an egg shaped ball.
Everyone grieves differently.
For some playing in the game, for his memory, can be powerful.
If I were a coach, I would want them to play. I don't make the call and I don't know Mike Leach personally, but I can't imagine him wanting to miss the fun of a bowl game experience in Tamp Bay with a big arse pirate ship in the stadium and lay an arse whooping on Fat Bert and Illinois. I mean it sets up nicely if you think about it. Florida, pirate ship and football. What better eulogy for coach Mike Leach? I think it's perfect.

The stripper/truck driver sister with the three kids by three different guys (soooo many great stories, check my post history for some of them on the OT), is not included in any of those decisions.
Pics?
On a serious note, I hope the pirate pulls through. We need him among the living.

Rescue was just replying to the last post. Very simple and common mistake

With all of the chaos with an interim AD and interim HC, this makes the most sense.

So if you get a high number
I’d go ask a Cardiologist.

I’m told that Leach didn’t exactly collapse at his home, as some reported. He’s not brain dead, as others have indicated on social media. The football coach was found on the sofa, unresponsive, after what some think was 10-15 minutes. EMTs showed up and did their jobs. Doctors then worked all day Sunday to sedate Leach, stabilize him, and are now beginning to assess his condition.
That's 10-15 minutes before discovery, then 10-15 minutes minimum before EMS arrival. You're looking at at best case of 20-30 minutes before blood flow to the brain is restored.
We all want good news, but his doesn't contradict earlier reports with very bad news. It largely confirms them.

It’s ridiculous insurance doesn’t pay for calcium test. My father died of heart attack in at 39, my grandfather in his 50s etc. it’s what we die of in my family. I actually even have a preventative cardiologist. They were pushing me to get calcium test but I felt completely healthy worked out at gym 3 days a work 2 hours a time etc, we did stress test, ct scan etc and I passed everything with flying colors. However, a good friend of mine, my age, died of a cardiac event right after a run, 5 days after a complete medical work up. He was in better shape than I was. I ended up with some ridiculous number on calcium test, the techs eyes bugged out so I knew I was in trouble. I had 85% blockage in one artery. Heart attack waiting to happen.
i had one at 40.
was in decent shape. had only stopped playing organized ball a couple years earlier.
was no where even close to being overweight, etc.
very mild symptoms. honestly worst of my symptoms was it felt like i had been working in the heat and needed some shade and water.
except it was like 9:00am and I hadn't even left the A/C yet that morning.
100% blockage in one artery. 75a% in another.
put a stent in the 100% blockage that night, waited a month, then put two stents in the 100% blockage.
fast forward 2 years I'm doing a stress test and thinking i'm kicking it's arse.
nope. the two stents in the 100% blockage are plugged back up. Thankfully i was still getting blood though some back channels, but had to have double bypass surgery.
At 42 years old.
was basically told i was a ticking timebomb. and with my family history, I was lucky we caught it when we did.

have several pt's that were declared "brain dead" by neurology due to lack of organized brain activity on EEG. Lucky for them, I refused to sign off without giving them a fighting chance. One sat up and requested coffee two days later. I had the administrator that tried to temporarily suspend my privileges to take her off the vent serve it to her.

Praying for the best possible outcome for Coach Leach, no matter what it may be.

I'm studying for 5 medical school exams this week and can't stop checking to see if there are any new updates. Rooting you for, Leach!
