Plus imagine the tribute to him they could make the bowl game be. Would be a tremendous honor to him and prolly the best he'd get

Might even name the bowl after him or something, raise charity money for his illnesss, etc

There's a pirate ship in the stadium. I think Leach would want State to play. In 2020, we went to Georgia with like 37 players and lost by one TD. He'd want State to play.

There needs to be a permanent place for piracy in MSU fandom.

My supervisor and I decided to go to the Miss St-LSU game this year. I'm glad we were able to go because we were on the visitors side and seeing Mike Leach from afar is neat. It's sad how that might've been our last time to see him. If it's hitting us fans then I don't even want to know how hard this is for his family.

He’s not brain dead, as others have indicated on social media. The football coach was found on the sofa, unresponsive, after what some think was 10-15 minutes. EMTs showed up and did their jobs. Doctors then worked all day Sunday to sedate Leach, stabilize him, and are now beginning to assess his condition.

Does it sound bad?

Very much so. But as one member of his inner circle said: “He’s still with us.”

God let this man pull through. Nothing i would love more than to hear leach say to all the early reporters "you cant kill me that easy, im still here" lets go leach! Prayers up

thinks it's reasonable to give a few days if brainstem function is still intact. I have several pt's that were declared "brain dead" by neurology due to lack of organized brain activity on EEG. Lucky for them, I refused to sign off without giving them a fighting chance. One sat up and requested coffee two days later. I had the administrator that tried to temporarily suspend my privileges to take her off the vent serve it to her.

I said similar earlier in the thread. Should never pull the plug immediately. Give it a week or two then do it if no signs of improvement

Similar thing happened to my uncle. Heart attack driving, was several minutes before EMS arrived and started CPR. Got a heartbeat back and was determined "brain dead" by 4 different neurologists at the hospital. My cousin held out for 2 weeks and finally agreed to pull the plug, at which point my uncle started showing signs of response. 2 days later he was sitting up asking for a Dr. Pepper (his favorite drink).

Give 'em hell, Pirate!

Honestly idk as a player how they can get themselves motivated to play and not grieve. If they do play I know I’ll be rooting for them.

I know it would be tough, but in his honor, the team should attempt to get a victory. End off the season by winning a bowl game in his honor and give it to the family if he doesn't pull through.

As far as I’m concerned, the discrepancies in news is positive because everything coming out last night was quite negative for his chances.

Events like this are different. This is stuff that makes you think about your priorities in life. Those kids have to be thinking the same thing. You gotta think those kids are going through it as much as the family is, and the info those kids are getting is through Twitter or on some message board. You know they are seeing people troll the situation which doesn’t help. They are seeing these unofficial reports out there. That has to be getting to a lot of those players. So I doubt they play. There’s more to life than just a game with an egg shaped ball.

The Pirate lived like he was dying, we should all do the same. Mucho respect and sincere condolences to the Leach & MSU athletics family.

Guy doesn't give a frick about what anyone thought about him other than his family.

Good for him, and you're right, we should all live our lives that way.
