RIP Coach Leach. Prayers sent for his family and the Mississippi State community. We all felt like we knew the man personally. Terrible news for the college football world.

Went out a winner against Ole Miss
I know football is the last thing on everyone’s mind but, it makes the pain a little easier to handle when you know his last few weeks of life were filled with joy

It’s ok to feel that way. He was a bright light in the world. Gotta grieve.

The world is a less interesting place without him in it. RIP coach.

In an era of constant "coachspeak" and public figures, not just coaches, terrified to be candid Leach was a welcomed outlier. A guy who was a good football coach, but maybe MORE interesting when he discussed anything not related to football. He was a guy who clearly took being a coach seriously...but not enough to avoid enjoying being a coach. His wit was unrivaled. He was one of the few guys who never forgot that in the end, playing/coaching college football was still supposed to be fun. A guy who had no business being a major college football coach, but was smart enough to "crack the code" and become one at a high level. One of the few "characters" left in the game today from a bygone era where coaches were allowed to have personalities.
The world of college football is a little less enjoyable, a little less fun now without him in it. And for that I am very sad.
