Sorry you are even more ignorant than the average UTrans fan on this site. All existing coaches are under contract. It was a dumbass thing to say. Some have buyouts , some don’t. The way UTrans fans on this site talk about Sark, I figured y’all might pay someone else to take him off your hands.
I did not realize that you were so concerned about Jimbo. The 12th Man Foundation donated $160 million to the athletic department at halftime of the game right before Jimbo was sent down the road. He was paid for before they let him go. I know that seems like a lot of money to a simple mind like yours but it is the cost of doing business in this industry nowadays. You probably don’t understand this but Elko actually has the potential in his contract to make more than Sark this year depending on how well A&M does.

Aggies pay Coaches top wages and Elko knows if he hangs around and does well he will definitely be in the top 5 for CFB Coach base pay, and even his current contract has some very good incentives.
Also Aggies are very slow about firing Coaches.

Elko is a killer for sure. Would definitely like to have him on our staff next year. I could see Sark brining him on as an assistant defensive coordinator.

Elko went to the Ivy League. He isn't dumb. Going 10-2 at PennSt gets him to the playoffs every year.
He isn't going 10-2 at Aggie every season, but at PennSt it's a much easier path

Not a question for me. If it’s a money thing A&M is solid. We have made some bonehead contracts but we also have never had a coach leave over money.
PSU, et al, better go ahead and take out that second mortgage cause A&M will absolutely match and then some.
