@lebrownlow: At least he got specific! LINK
He said this on Finebaum yesterday and apparently wrote a column for today's paper.
And while I agree the MS schools bring little to the conference, I know we can do better than UCF and USF as replacements

Bianchi is a troll (although he is a dumbass, too)

He's right though.
The SEC should dump all the teams in small media markets.

FML... OM/MS combined bowl record 34-19
USF/UCF combined bowl record 5-7
This is just some frickhead trolling for attention, nothing to see here.

On the SEC application, there's a box to check if you have a direction in your name that is not part of the proper name of a state. Those applications go in the round file.

Cool story. Long story short, guy should do research...shouldn't be allowed to write sports columns. Founding member...can't be kicked out. Article is pointless

The Orlando Sentinel should trim the fat and dump that douchebag.

He's been saying this for years and still no one takes him seriously

Trolling Ole Miss and MSU fans via a newspaper column?!? Bianchi is just terrible ... The one thing he doesn't address here is facilities ... And though OM and State don't have huge TV markets by any means, we have fantastic facilities for pretty much all sports (minus the Tad Pad) and we've continued to commit to constantly upgrading and improving them... All that and the charter member clause make this a pretty pathetic troll attempt.

Because they bring little to the conference and SEC Network.
A better way would be to eliminate all Lil' Bro schools from the league to expand the footprint. Thus...
Alabama IN, Auburn OUT
Ole Miss IN, Moo State OUT
Clemson IN, South Carolina OUT
Florida State IN, Florida OUT
Vanderbilt IN, Tennessee OUT
Note: Vanderbilt stays to give the SEC private school cover from potential legal actions.
North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma and Notre Dame are added to round out to 16.
All weak links are purged and the SEC is now the preeminent national conference.

That is such a bad post it's not even an effective troll.
No one would take you serious.
Hope you are being sarcastic.
Auburn and Florida have won probably half the SEC titles in the last 25 years.

It's sad when the best thing your school brings to the conference is a TV market
