1910 is not legit
1913 is legit
1914 is not legit
1958 is not legit
1983 is not legit. Not selected by the AP Poll or the Coaches poll. Who recognizes championships from this era that weren't given by the AP Poll or the Coaches Poll?
1993 is not legit and it is an absolute joke that they're including it
2004 is not legit. We all know Auburn would not have beaten USC, but it doesn't even matter. The AP could have voted Auburn number 1 and chose not to do so. They have no claim.

The 1910 college football season had no clear-cut champion, with the Official NCAA Division I Football Records Book listing Harvard and Pittsburgh as having been retrospectively selected national champions, by four "major selectors" in about 1927, 1947, 1970 and 1980. Harvard claims a national championship for the 1910 season.

LSU compiled an 11–0 record, defeated Clemson in the Sugar Bowl, and was ranked No. 1 in the final Associated Press (AP) writers and United Press International (UPI) coaches polls. LSU received 139 first-place votes in the AP poll and 29 of 35 first-place votes in the UPI poll. LSU was also selected as the national champion by numerous other selectors, including: Billingsley Report, College Football Researchers Association, Helms Athletic Foundation, and National Championship Foundation. LSU halfback Billy Cannon finished third in voting for the Heisman Trophy.

The Auburn Tigers had an 11-0 record but due to previous NCAA violations, they were not allowed to play in the SEC title contest or a bowl game, and were not included in the Coaches' poll (Auburn was part of the AP poll, and finished the year as the 4th ranked team in the country).

Might as well add more championships. These days men can be women and women can be men and supposedly normal people are going along with it

That's actually a very decent representation of what this move by Auburn looks like.

You left out 2 ties.

Auburn finished the season ranked number 4 in both polls.

13-0 with 5 top 10 wins and the BCS winner DQ'd is not worse than 1941
When there's a system in place to decide who plays in the title game, and you don't even make that, then yes, it's worse.

Congrats on finding something about Auburn worth talking about a week before the season starts.

It’s the 115th Anniversary since our first National Championship. Gonna be a special year.

you have an argument here. maybe shoulda been Au in natty instead of OU.

1993 - 11-0, undefeated in the SEC
1983 - 11-1, undefeated in the SEC. Miami also claims this title at 11-1 (lost to Florida 28-3). Auburn lost to Texas 20-7 but beat Florida 28-21. Texas also finished the year 11-1.
1958 - 9-0-1, undefeated in the SEC.
1914 - 8-0-1
1913 - 8-0
1910 - 6-1
those above are complete and utter bullshite and you know why.

You’re an absolute loser if you claim a natty that you didn’t even compete for

AP in 2003: USC NOT IN BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Well, yeah we know there is now a BCS National Championship
game that was set up to determine the National Championship,
but we just gotta give USC respect they deserve and be fair in
our voting for a National Champion.

F*ck Auburn!

Why does anyone care what other schools claim? The outrage over this is hilarious. No one gave a shite when Bama did it.

Why are you making an argument for Texas to claim it?

You're saying Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown couldn't beat USC?
