And to no one’s surprise Skip is coach of the year. This award was earned and deserved

I was assured no one cared about the CWS this year because a certain program failed to make it to Omaha.

I believe you have read this slightly incorrectly..
The game between WV and UNC was the 3rd most watched PRE-finals game ever. (what games are 1 and 2?)
and the june 22nd game was the most watched of the season.
24% increase YOY, means the average of 1.5M viewers is up 24% vs last year's average viewer numbers.

It literally says ESPN DELIVERS THIRD MOST-WATCHED MCWS ON RECORD right in the caption.
The WVU game was “additionally” the 3rd most watched “pre” MCWS game.

How they turned it on and went on the road to get there… then win it! Thats baseball. He had those guys flush the season and play top level. Hats off to him, and his national championship team!

We were also assured throughout the season that a certain football school doesn't care about baseball... while they were constantly posting about baseball.

The SEC had 7 National Seeds in the tournament and had 5 teams make the CWS. I would assume some chatter about that on SECrant.com

The top 8 are national seeds.

So we’re just making shite up now?

I doubt it’s because of Oklahoma.

the thing i leaned the most on this site is you can have hardcore facts and the LSU fans brains can’t comprehend anything that says LSU wasnt even in the postseason this year … they are reaching and grabbing for straws to remain relevant in any sport . I do realize some of you lsu fans have your brains operating correctly and are alright guys . I have been down to the area you live in and understand that the education in one area doesn’t mean the same 50 miles away . To bad 50 percent of your fan base ruins it for the rest .

Last year, the outcome was a foregone conclusion. It was impossible to even hate watch the Tigers. Bad for ratings.

I read they still had the highest avg for a 2 game sweep.
I think the last several years have high ratings because they all featured SEC teams. And SEC has the biggest baseball fanbase around.
So in SEC viewers you have fans of teams playing, fans of conference teams and then hate watching conference teams. That ends up juicing ratings. Several posters on this board were as engaged in finals as if their team played.
Baseball fans do less trolling then other sports. Everyone seems to enjoy college baseball in conference.

Skip Johnson has the craziest resume.
9 seasons 2 supers 2 CWS 2 natty appearances 1 natty.
Talk about go big or go home.
