He’s going to the Carolinas……
All jokes aside I could see him going the mid major/fcs route. A place not about the money where he can actually enjoy coaching kids who want learn and work.
That’s sounds like Western Carolina or Furman.

Where's the lie? He was so bad in his second season with the Dolphins, some of the players wanted to kick his arse.
Saban was a great coach, but he had a HUGE talent advantage over his opponents for most of his college career. NFL is designed to have more parity and spread the talent around.
You are dumb.
There is a reason Miami fans were upset that he left.
And the entire "talent" part isn't why Saban won either. Saban was able to get talent and turn them into elite players at a much higher rate than anyone else. Alabama hasn't dropped in talent in the past few years, what dropped was development.
The reason he went back to college is because NFL players didn't care about development. The reason he left college football is because they started getting paid and also no longer cared about development.
Thus why I said if Saban was to take another coaching job, it would be at a place where he was able to develop and teach people.
You just make loser excuses.

Bama already trying to get him back. Deboer gone.

I could be wrong, but this just seems like a rumor that radio runs with because July is slow and not much is going on to talk about.

McElroy and Cubelic are in Atlanta this week for media days. They interviewed coaches and players all morning. Had Sankey on as well. He could’ve picked a better week to drop this if he’s doing it for clicks and attention during the dog days of summer.

Maybe.
Counter Argument, there is another way to not have to worry about the money. Go somewhere with absolutely ridiculous Oil Money

Wouldn’t he hate seeing his best players transfer out to bigger programs?
Don’t know can’t speak for the guy, but if he is doing it at that level, he’d know he helped some kid achieve his dream. Might sound corny cuz hes the goat but at some point in time saban was just a guy who loved football

This is obviously Saban soft-launching his interest in the Mississippi State job.

I agree with that, and he could, but the pressure expectation and what have you done for me lately attitude would still be there unlock the g5 fcs level

Could totally see him doing this. You're really not having the huge NIL shite at a small school like that either. Recruits expectations are much lower on that front.

I could also see him coaching a high school, you know, for the love of the game. He doesn't need money, he has a ton of revenue streams.

I was just reading some Tennessee fans saying they wouldn't take Kirby over Heupel cause Kirby couldn't win at Tennessee for this very same reason.
All Kirby does is recruit, blah, blah, blah....
Never mind the line of high school coaches and recruits saying our practices are different from everywhere else.
The NFL coaches saying they know that the our players will be ready for the NFL when they get there.
It's hilarious.

I seriously doubt he’s starting over somewhere at 75 years old.

Why do people keep clinging to this narrative?
It's like folks think Alabama was turning #1 classes while the rest of the SEC was barely breaking the top 30, like this was the ACC.
The SEC routinely had multiple teams in the top 10, usually top 5, in recruiting every year.
From 2008-2023, Alabama had 16 top 5 recruiting classes.
The SEC West during that stretch:
LSU - 12 top 10 classes including a #1 class; the 4 outliers at 13, 13, 15, and 12
Auburn - 8 top 10 classes, 5 of the remaining 8 in the top 20.
Texas A&M - 6 top 10 classes starting from 2012, including a #1 class. All remaining classes in the top 20.
Ole Miss also had two top 10 classes and 5 more that were in the top 20.
Also, in the SEC East:
Tennessee (permanent opponent) - 5 top 10 classes, 7 more top 20.
Georgia - 14 top 10 classes including two #1 classes; remaining 2 were #11 and #12
Florida - 8 top 10 classes with a #1 class; 7 remaining top 20 (4 of which were withing a 1-2 spots of being top 10)

I listen to his morning show and he throws out ridiculous takes all the time. Cole is the logical one on the show.
Last week he said OU might win the title this year and Mateer will win the Heisman
