The only thing intimidating about Baton Rouge is wondering if your car is still going to be there when the game is over.

As a Texas fan we can’t be very high.

The best atmosphere I’ve ever been in was a late afternoon game, Texas @ Nebraska in the waning daylight hours on Halloween. It was rocking in there. The dark gray sky and harvested cornfields in the distance added to the atmosphere.

Ricky Williams ripping them a new one (but still a very close game) was the cherry on top.

I've been to a night game there, in the rain, when they were not winning ... SC won, the LSU fans were as subdued as I've ever seen them that night.

Isn’t LSU like 50-2 all time against South Carolina?

They need you at more games.

Of the places I've been....

1. Night game at LSU. Tailgating starts around 8:00am. Best food ever and a cold keg of Turbodog. When the band strikes the first "Bah-Bah-BAAAH-Bah!" it's really loud and very cool.

2. Night game in Fayetteville for a big game - texas 2021 was deafening. Tennessee a few weeks ago had me hoarse for a week.

2a. Night games in Little Rock back in the Day. Miracle on Markham, Kentucky 1998... Miracle on Markham Part Deux...

3. Tennessee - should be much louder, especially with no teeth in those Rocky Noggins to block the sound coming out of their gullets. Stadium itself is a dump.

4. Ole Miss - Small, fugly stadium. Overrated grove. Warm beer at the convenience store.

Most over rated stadium: Ole Miss (high school size stadium)

Most over rated tailgate: The one square block known as the Grove.

Have you guys not been watched this year?

We got so loud vs Bama in the day time that the refs had to literally pause the game to tell our fans to quite down.

Tiger stadium is good at night time only.

It's Neyland, Tiger stadium, Aggies and then everyone else.

South Carolina is pretty damn good for a modest program though as is Aubie.

I know several Barn grads. None of them love the AU tailgating.

“cell phone flop out”…..Is that long post from back then still available somewhere? I think it was awarded “greatest post of all time”. It’s hilarious!

Neyland, Death Valley, Jordan Hare and the Swamp are the most consistently loud places in my experience. A&M doesn’t get painfully loud like those places can. At least it didn’t in 2016. The loudest it’s been at Neyland in my experience was 2015 OU. I don’t put much stock in DB readings

You saw harvested corn fields from DKR?

When was this, 1902?

DKR feels like a giant HS stadium built into a bunker. No aesthetics. Concrete jungle. Fake grass. The eyes of Texas might be on you but not as much as the sun. Slow cooking bevo in September games should be animal cruelty.

What would a damn Sooner know about atmosphere? Boomer Sooner over and over again.

By contrast DKR when the band first comes out playing March Grandioso. Nothing better, nothing but chill bumps.

I've long said Sooners are way smarter than Aggies, however Aggy only knows a total if six tunes. One of em being stolen from the Patton theme song. Never the less, you'll never hear them step outside their comfort zone regardless of how bad it sounds.

Still, aggy only knows 6 tunes, OU apparently only knows two. Please tell me I'm mistaken.

When they have a big night game, SC is the best. Never been to LSU or Florida though.
