You won't need to do that.............there will be no Auburn left.

We all known Urbs is replacing NS

Wait, is this really a thing that might happen?
I mean there’s no way. That would not make a bit of sense, and y’all would just wind up doing this all again in like 3 years.

Tennessee is mostly fair weather fans, you can join them.

Fair weather?! We have endured over ten years of shite. Still a fan. At least we have experienced being on top.

We are dumbest football minds ever if we fired Gus to hire Steele.
I thought we had a name lined up, or we would not have pulled the trigger.

Paying 20m to fire Gus only to hire Steele would be one of the all time boneheaded moves in CFB. I would feel kinda sorry for you guys while I laughed at you

........and doing that the week of the early signing period. Surely nobody is that dumb.

There is trolling and then there is openly mocking real pain and suffering.

This is just sheer stupidity on part of auburn. Why in God's name would we pay Gus 21mil to only promote his own assistant and likely keep most of the staff
You sort of answered your own question. You have to pay Gus $21M, so you're gonna need every penny you have. Promoting Steele and keeping the staff means you don't have to buy out the ones on multi-year contracts.

Change...if Gus is the biggest problem. You elimninate that.
Hey, I'm not suggesting it was a good idea. I'm just offering a theoy of plausibility. You're on the hook for a helluva lot of money...in a year when revenue will be waaaayyyy down.
Posted on 12/14/20 at 9:09 am to HailToTheChiz
Yeah, that doesn’t seem like too smart of a decision if you’re already doling out a big buyout. Surely, Steele isn’t the guy or wasn’t the original thought anyway because that makes zero sense to me- it’s like pulling off one side of a bandaid, either leave it or rip it all off. I honestly hope you get a better name and have some excitement. Y’all didn’t suck like we did of course but it’s still nice to have a fresh start and feel some optimism.

There is no change if we promote from within and keep our staff for the most part.
We just lit 20mil on fire. We would have been better off keeping Gus another year.

Is this Kevin Steele or a young Nick Saban?

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. How can a team that hasn’t won shite in 15 years have Fairweather fans?

We did, but not so sure now. MC may stay at Oregon. So now what do we do.
