A fiddy percent passer and a deer stuck in the headlights who somehow wins games.

He had a pretty good game considering how bad our offensive line is. He didn't make mistakes... mistakes on offense kill us right now.

. I wish we still had him. I think he’ll do well for y’all.

He's a serviceable QB. Ya'll will be better on offense with Max.

I’ll always remember him for his last moment as a Tiger. Hope he does well with the Ags.

Did you watch the game? He was composed in what was a pressured pocket most of the night. Except for 1 pass I can think of, he was very accurate all night. But our WRs were blanketed all night by DBs, even Herbie and Fowler were talking about it multiple times.

Is Max a Heisman winner? No. But he is far better than what we had. Bigger concern is our run game.

The second half he was running it Miami, I wonder how many yards he ran for

Update: just saw it was like 30 yards, but felt like more. A couple to keep drives alive

He won’t put up great numbers, but he can win you games.

The young man was serviceable. My main issue with him was how long he held the ball. He just couldn't pull the trigger at times. Obviously the O line play had a lot to do with. The pressure caused him to develop some bad habits. He'd get happy feet even on the rare occasions that he had a clean pocket. I don't know which is more frustrating, a QB who can't pull the trigger or a QB who has no idea where the ball is going when he throws it.

Johnson was playing in less that ideal circumstances but he played some of his best football in his two wins against Florida and the win against A&M last year. LSU has had far worse QBs.

I think a bigger concern is that Jimbo has an entire offseason with Max and King, and had 14 games of film for Max, and he still went with King.

One thing we can all agree is that he’s a tough sob. He got killed last year and got up every time. Seems like he’s in the same boat again

With Johnson as y’all’s starter your ceiling is definitely lower but your floor is probably higher. Not sure I can think of a better example of a grind it out game manager. You won’t see a lot of great qb play or really bad qb play. Just a whole lot of smack dab in the middle. That can win you a lot of games if the rest of the units on the team are good.

You mean he played like a QB who has 14 starts under his belt? Shocker. Experience always helps

Aggy is right back where they were with mond. Average QB who limits mistakes.

I’m sure jimbo started king thinking he had higher upside. Which is prob right. He just couldn’t take care of the ball.
