I think people forget how many games that almost happened in Saban's final few years.
Every time I see people act like Bama is crumbling, I remember Saban’s “shite through a tin horn” rant.

People laughed back then about Saban struggling in some “easy” games. Nothing has changed except Saban is gone. Alabama is still Alabama.

Wow, haha, that was something.

Even if Germie had turned out to be a bust of a player like, what an embarrassing video to post. Guy was talking like an anime villain. Pretty hard watch.

And of course, Bernard turned out to be a full on superstar, which is the cherry on top. Oooooooof.

Well, I wouldn't say it's burning. But it doesn't look the same. Under Saban, everyone would've been more "WTH is going on?" after a game like that.

2014 (playoff team) Alabama beat Arkansas by 1 point.

2015 (national champion) Alabama beat unranked Tennessee by 5 points at home.

ETA: Also lost to Ole Miss both years

Even at the peak of the dynasty, we usually had one of these type of games under Saban. Towards the end, they were becoming more common.

The difference is in how Alabama is winning these close games. The traditional run game is almost nonexistent at this point. I’m having a hard time determining if that is schematic or just really bad run blocking. Maybe a bit of both. But the absence of a run game that can dominate the second half is going to keep lesser opponents in more games.

People like Matt Moscona is just a fan with a microphone that sells car dealership ads. Nothing he does, has accomplished or experienced makes him more qualified to speak about the subject he talks about everyday than the average messageboard poster on this board.

He's not plugged in, he has no insight, he has no expertise in the sport or the LSU program. He's a fan with a microphone who literally sells ads on his radio station for dudes who go around decorating houses in Christmas lights as a business.

That's all he's doing. The amount of times his "gotcha" posts & threads fall flat on their faces as soon as he hits submit HAS TO be getting to him.

Saban had lots of games like that. Certainly in the first few years. One won Ingram the Heisman in a game against South Carolina.

I enjoy his bama is burning bits. It’s hilarious. And in spirt of that, let’s play it for LSU is burning:

Sounds of LSU burning

He is also not taking LSU’s demise well:

Could Nick Saban really return to LSU?

I remember a 14-13 nail biter vs a bad Arkansas team under Saban.

I watched the run game intently this past week. OL blocking was ok a lot of the times, they were filling from the second and third level a lot of the time. Jam would run right in to it, and slide in to the interference. #4 doesn’t. He’s in to the second level and then slides lateral. He’s quicker to the seam than Jam.

The reaction wouldn't be "We played like arse and still won. RTR, baby!" It would've been more "We have fallen. We never used to struggle with these type of teams. Has Saban lost it? Why can't we run the ball? This ain't Bama football!"

Saban had a struggle game or three every season.

Your LSU is showing koreadawg.
