Manziel was a RB who chucked the ball up to Mike Evans. Put Matt Jones on that 2012 texas am team and he has a Cam Newton type season. Put Manziel on Jones’s Arkansas teams and he’s a nobody
I guess we will never know. What I do know is that Johnny Football completely dismantled Chokelahoma in the Cotton Bowl.

Yeah, it’s kind of hard to say regarding QB play. Manziel was playing backyard ball and just improvising. He was the opposite of a system QB. And he was probably drunk.
But if you put Manziel on another team he would have had great success also. Because he kept plays alive for so long that receivers would break open, or else he would run for 50 yards.

I don't know about that. Manziel would do well on those teams especially the 2003 team.
But then again he wouldn't have any development and he would be limited in a predictable offense.

Both were very good but only one has a Heisman

Matt Jones was never going to win a heisman at Arkansas.

Pot calling kettle black. I seem to remember ole Matt getting busted for some powder back in the day.

Pretty sure he was snorting coke during the games.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Jones was a supreme athlete. It’s been said that when he showed up on the playing field or at the gym everyone immediately knew who the best was.
I was at an Arkansas v. LSU game in Baton Rouge when he played. We just happened to be walking past the Arkansas bus as they were getting off. He was the first guy off the bus and you could tell right away who the best athlete was. He was a physical specimen.
