I can’t see him walking back through anyone’s door.

If a major program gave him total control. i.e. seniority over boosters, AD, college pres, trustees, etc. he might do it.

But Meyer is DONE taking shite from the peanut gallery. Long shot for UFM to come back, but possible.

I will give them Gus and a pack of gum, a couple of vests, and $10 bucks right now if they would take it.

The man can't develop QBs

I swear if they come out hs insead of out Juco well coached like Cam and Marshall they regress

Its fact at this point even Stid did his second yr

Theres a long list of highly ranked QBs he's failed

Watch Gatewood next year prob looks pretty good at UK

Texas boards, they’ve obviously gone into high gear with their coaching change fans wishlist.

I always thought Texas talent wasn’t better than anywhere else just a bigger geography and more numbers. Now I’m beginning to think it may actually be farther in quality ratio comparted to other fertile recruiting areas than we thought. On field results point to that.

It's just not Texas. See OU (Texas based talent) and I don't mean this year. They have been good and well coached for years, but they can't even compete vs the truly elite.

Saw something on Surly Horns last weekend that actually made some sense. There was a thread about the aTm-Bama game (not surprised) and some were saying that they wished Texas taught and played a tougher style of football, sort of like Bama. The thought was that almost all Texas high schools played a 7 on 7 style of football, lots of finesse which led to zero development of players on both side of the LOS. Skill players galore in state, but no quality at the LOS. I’ve thought Texas was soft on the lines since the ‘09 BCSNCG when Darius manhandled those guys.

They also said they dreaded what might happen in ‘22 and ‘23 if Herman was still there.

If Texas wins that '09 championship game, it's probably the single worst O line that ever wins a title. Instead they couldn't protect colt for a drive.

It seems as though Texas high schools have produced a great deal more of high-caliber offensive prospects than they have defensive as of late

Bumper Pool says hello. 20 tackles last weekend. Was also disruptive against UGA the week before.

Gus would do well in the Big 12. He loves the zone read and Big12 defenses suck.

ETA: thread not so much about Texas because I think Herman will get 2021 regardless, but I was certainly surprised to see Gus being mentioned by some Longhorn fans.

You shouldn't be! That is who the Longhorns fans really are about football!

Who wants a Coach who in 8 years has had at least 4 losses in every season but his first?
