I bet Cam is the starter week 1. I would be shocked if CBB started the year with a rookie qb. That being said, I think Jones will be the starter come week 4 when Brady returns. Right now we have basically one practice, and Jones threw well. He has still yet to take Cam's job.

I doubt they'll make one of the biggest regular season games ever Mac's first start.
Either Mac is the starter from game 1 or he'll be the starter after that Brady return game.
The early feedback on Mac is good, but it's hard to really tell because most of the public feedback on the rookie first round QBs is positive.

A more likely scenario is that Cam begins the regular season as the starter, but is injured by mid-season, maybe sooner.
So Jones becomes the starter for the rest of the season.

Jones is competing against Cam, Hoya,and Stidham for the starting job. They may have practiced today and I'm not aware. But in the one workout throwing the ball with all 4 qb's, Jones was the most accurate. That is all. He has not beaten anybody out for anything yet.

I think Jones had the benefit of having a much better offensive line whereas Burrow had to make a lot of plays on the run and under duress.
Burrow actually had some of his better games against P5 teams and not OOC cupcakes contrary to popular belief.
