Sweet LSU unis to honor the dead from the Great War

quote:

"To commemorate the century mark of the silent season of 1918, this weekend, LSU will emerge of the the tunnel in Death Valley in specially designed uniforms that salute the past," the video said.

No nameplate appears on the back, the video said, "to honor the unknown members of the LSU community who lost their lives in World War I," and the designs are modeled after French armor.

Is this true? Please help me with this. How do an iridescent helmet, fancy pants and purple cleats honor WWI dead?

Prince may approve. Gen. John J. Pershing does not.

Tell me how this uniform honors the dead from WWI.

This makes absolutely no sense.

How does a shark represent Mississippi? The only comparison I can draw is the amount of landsharls consumed and thrown on biloxi beach

You're an angry little person aren't you?

Take it in the spirit it's given or ignore it. There's no need for you to shite all over someone else's gesture.

What do you want them to do? Go out there in actual WW1 uniforms?

I think it is the no name-plate that is the salute to the Silent Season and LSU WWI dead.

To that I tip my hat and say Geaux Tigers.

Maybe something a little more military-esque:

And the "French armor"? Where is that represented?

You seem very upset by this. Are you OK? Maybe you should take a break from the internet today.

I don't know enough of the history over there to comment on the French Armour. I'm just respectful of the spirit they are doing it in.
