The difference is that LSU won the West, played a 13th game (the SECCG) and earned its way in. A team shouldn’t be rewarded for losing, at home, in the one hard game of the yr they had to play, then get to sit out a 13th game while other teams play in conference championship games. It’s bullshite.

2011 is more backside. Lost at home to LSU. Doesn’t have to play a conf championship and then jumps teams whose only loss was a conf championship. 2007 LSU beat Va Tech, and won the conference. The two losses to mediocre teams were horrible, but the season was crazy.

LSU won the SEC - the most difficult conference. And they won the SEC Championship with their backup QB starting due to an injury and without their best defensive player (Glenn Dorsey). Then they beat #1 Ohio State by 2 TDs in the title game.

Just a reminder, that team gave up 50 in a home loss to Arkansas.
Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri all had an argument against the Tigers making it, but it fell on deaf ears and LSU became the only 2-loss BCS champion.
This is pretty rich coming from an alabama fan
