Being down by 1 score for one drive isn't what I was referring to either.

Better - LSU was down by as much as 11. IT was also against a team that gave up 40 to Temple and Memphis the same year.

This one is very legit. Sorry, this one certainly fits the mold.
That said, I meant more along the lines where the QB was almost the entire catalyst of the come back. I don't remember enough of the Auburn game to speak a lot on that, but I mostly remembered AU getting two flags to keep LSU's last drive alive.
He just hasn't had a moment yet like Cam in the 2010 Iron Bowl. I didn't see a moment where he's led LSU from being down by 24 to win a game.

Neither has Tua.
Is that a requirement for greatness?

LSU has a better defense than Auburn in 2010.
When looking at just D1 opponents, we allow quite a bit less YPP, .8 fewer offensive TDs per game per game, fewer PPG, etc.
Obviously we have more games to go, but we have some shitty offenses coming our way outside of Alabama and somewhat Auburn.

Almost. 37 yards short.

OK OK...just let us have some shred of hope.

Except LSU did not pay $180K for their transfer QB.

Or did they?
Or did they?

The only team in the country that I am iffy about us beating is Bama. The only Hangup there is that we haven’t beaten them in so long, it’s a mental thing

Did yall have any other NFL guys on D outside of Fairley? I'm not arguing with your point on D, am just curious. Thing about LSU is while they miss White this year, they have a lot of players on D that should be drafted. There have been some injuries and they have gradually corrected some issues like being soft at tackling, and they also do relatively better in the red zone, but they are still probably underperforming what their potential is IMO.

How much did you pay for him?

No. We didn't even state if Joe was GREAT or not.
He is being compared to Cam Newton's college career in this thread. Is that really hard for people to grasp?

Some, yes. Josh Bynes and Neiko Thorpe are both still in the league I know. Daren Bates too I think.
How Jake Holland didn't get drafted, I don't know.

OP made no comparisons of the sort.
He compared the offenses.
But it's a good thing Burrow hasn't had to lead a 24 point comeback this year.
At least in my eyes it is. I hope he never has to.

I was at Auburn for the 2010 game with LSU. Undefeated teams. The winner was very likely to be the national champ. Cam Newton was a force of nature. Our defense held them in check fairly well, but Cam kept coming up with the big scramble, the perfect pitch, or the well executed RPO. I've never seen a single player make that much of a difference in a team.

No, I do not.
Tua is elite for sure and being a lefty adds to his allure.
Maybe I just have a very high standard for what I would call a "generational"
